More important would be that those you got are "self-locking" (distorted) nuts. Hard to tell from your pics...(?)
If it was me I would try to get the exact same size/type nuts. They must be out there, somewhere in the civilian world.
Besides P/N 12301125 I also got many with the P/N 12423477...
Happened to me too - and it's not that we can't read...:)
It's because the std. font for all our posts makes the lowercase "l" (L as in Lima) and the capital "I" (I as in India) look identical.
Yep, you pop up there, 2nd on the list... after typing an LPC in that search window...
Thanks for...
True. But in this case there are only two "inward" bends that remain visible - and only with the door open: #3 and #5. None of them is critical, IMHO. Even if these came out too "sharp"; after several layers of paint it sure enough would look "factory stock" again.
For everyone's peace of mind...
Yes, that's correct: 18 ga crs, (.048")
Yes, dims are outside. I could take some exact measurements on the finished parts, if needed. What really counts is my diagram on the right: mark work-piece as indicated and center the punch as precise as possible, on each of them.
Inside radius: I'd say...
I just made them...
Here are the exact dimensions to replicate the stock profile:
Red numbers is the sequence of bends. Anyone with a small brake press can do this.

h. Mainshaft Rear Bearing. With the use of a block
of wood, drive the mainshaft rearward to force the
rear bearing from the transmission case. (See fig. 3-26.)
Use a universal puller to remove the rear bearing from the mainshaft.

Memphis has the 1/4-ton chain hoist that originally came with the M939 series tool set, @ $60: https://www.ebay.com/itm/292808839014
Although Chinese-made, they work fairly well for the purpose.

I did some measuring for you.... Sadly, I only have a set of the early style 12-bolt rims here. They are the ones good for 3400 lbs, with no centering hole. (P/n of the inner section is 12342642, to be used with the 12342640 outer half.) FWIW, on those, the ID of the cylindrical portion in...
Well, our transmission actually does act like a torque multiplier for the engine. So, for the 3053 in 1st gear, at 5:1 - the transfer should hold all day long at 2000 ft-lb, at least. I know it does - and much more than that.
Welcome back!
New format and some things - including a few rules - have changed but I'm sure you will get used to it, pretty soon... lol
(Former PM is now "START CONVERSATION". Feel free to ask questions.)
Yeah, over the time rubber may harden and eventually even develop cracks. Also the fact that rust tends to build up due to trapped moisture there, just where the grommet has to seal.
Because of that I have long installed all my valves with no grommet and/or O-ring, at all. PU-sealant alone...
