Since we don't really have a spot for these, I guess here is as good as spot as any since it isn't a dodge and it isn't a 5t or larger!
This is the GTB, Burma Jeep, G-622, whatever you choose to call it. I do believe that this a GTBA. This is out in the display area. I have never worked on this...
Figured i'd show the Converto we dug out of the back and sorta restored it.
This, as far as Craig can remember, was acquired from a municipality, years ago. It is one of two. There were holes drilled in it everywhere, hooks mounted all over the place, some rot in the bed and on the gate. The...
Yes it is! The whatever fuel part. I used to get diesel and gas mix thank to FedEx package car drivers. The drivers were responsible for fueling their vans. Well, 2 or 3 times a month, we would have one towed to us because the driver accidentally pumped gas into the van. We used to have our...
It's been a bit, but slow steady work has been happening. Volunteers have spent time sanding and priming. Holes in the cab top have been filled and sanded. I have slowly tackled things. One of the issues are ALL of the hydraulic hoses. They all need replacing. I have a local guy trying to source...
Page 87 of this manual,

It says after removing the nut, the drive flange SHOULD just pull off. Doesn't say weather a puller is needed or not....
Dumb question, you removed...
Oh, the drive on the advance unit. That I do not know. Someone will pipe up and tell you what you need to know. It might help to go to the TM section and browse through the section you are working on. They are free to look at or download.
On the M62 we have at the Museum, either the manual or the truck is wrong. The levers at the rear winch are backwards from the TM. On ours, the inboard operates the boom and the outboard is for the winch. Go under it and have someone move the boom engage lever to see if the PTO is indeed being...
I have never done one, but, I don't think a puller is needed. I believe the drive gear un bolts and the pump comes off. You removed the 3 bolts holding the pump to the adapter, correct? 2 short bolts, one about 1 o'clock and one outboard, 9 o'clock and the single long bolt on the bottom around 5...
You will spend more than 5k transplanting a B into it. Fix the multi if it needs it or find a take out. I know where there a re a bunch, but on the opposite coast.
Just saw this. The pipe plugs are on the bottom of the FP main housing. They are there to add accessories, like a high idle governor, that require fuel. There is just gear pump fed fuel behind those plugs, no need to drain from them. Have you had the pump looked at yet?
If anyone finds the manuals, how big are they? The reason I ask is that IF they are found, and relatively small, I can turn them into a PDF and then post them on the site.
Apparently, IHC used this engine in the Scout II, but in the turboed version. From what I have garnered from a quick Google search, both engines used the same FF. Baldwin BF941. However, since I am not familiar with it, the end user might have specified a more common filter that they might...
I do not recall a MB based aircraft tug in WWII, I THINK what you might have is a CJ10. I have only seen two of these and, IIRC, they were Nissan diesel powered and I think it was an SD33, 6 cylinder. So, I think this should be moved to a place that might yield better results for your question...
Somewhere here on SS I posted up about the resistance values and how the circuits work of the FSOV. The one pictured in the first post is a Trombetta, they were VERY problematic. They were changed to the Synchrostart brand and things were much better. The biggest issues on the C and B for that...
Another fun fact about IHC/Navistar casting. Navistar has been casting blocks and heads for the B 4.5, 5.9 and 6.7 for years now. The way to tell if it is a Navistar cast component is the presence of the Navistar "diamond" and a funky patch on blocks that are just a bunch of raised dots. I was...
