Looks like the driver could have used a set of the very rare but practical top mounted NOS training wheels. I have never known a CUCV to be able to go fast enough to actually flip that hard. Personally, I think a C-130 Loadmaster is out there somewhere looking for a missing CUCV listed on his...
If the truck has been sitting a bunch and outdoors, the brakes may be somewhat of an issue. If it feels as if you are driving in mush after breaking hard, you may have some water and rust in the system. A temp solution is to back up and brake before moving forward. It may take a couple of...
There is no need to arrive without a MV. There is a good chance that Ill have exactly what you want and I am just up the road in Warrenton...actually a little stretch of US 29 southbound called New Baltimore.
One can see several in use daily at Ft Indiantown Gap, PA. They are all pickups. I have not seen any M1009s in use for several years now. The last one I saw in use was the one used for daily "trail" inspections in Quantico.
"ZDDP" in the oil is an absolute must in our old engines. Since I am the slum landlord at the local airport, I also manage to occasionally grab a few hundred gallons of Jet-A fuel. This stuff is as clean a diesel fuel one could ever imagine. A tank full cleans the injectors and IP better than...
This is my last contribution as to why I prefer the Mack ENDT-673 5-ton over the Cummins NHC 250.
I have a 40-mile course over which I like to run a truck through its paces. It starts at Massie’s Corner at the intersection of US 522 and US211, runs through Sperryville on 211 up and over...
Ah, The Radiator issue. Many of the military Macks on the road today do not have the original Mack radiator. They have the radiator used on the multi-fuel engines; the difference being the inlet and outlet hoses on the multi-fuel engine radiators must be reversed to accommodate the Mack engine...
I hope it is cooler there today than yesterday CUCVRUS. It is still too hot here to ride my favorite non-CUCV machine little cutie that I shared yesterday. Its my daily driver...seriously...Not very far mind you but still my daily driver. I am trying to locate a few of the accessories pictured...
OK. The fun is over. It is hot as **** here and the only fun I have managed to stir up today has been here. I hope I've not been too annoying.:jumpin::-D
This military vehicle is definitely not a CUCV. It is a 1995 MO-93 Military Bicycle with hydraulic brakes (yes, mil spec juice). Land on the brakes too heavily and they can crush the rims.
One could get one heck of a sun tan standing within a few hundred feet of this monster. Is the light adjustable and does it have a flicker mode? If so, what is the flicker rate in Hz? I have a shoulder mounted one that runs for 20-minutes off a tactical vest and recharges on the standard NATO...
I bought an M923 and M931 in 2011. They were both 2009 rebuilds. They both came with the PulseTech mounted in the first battery bay from the passenger door followed by the batteries. I was sharing what I know. Sorry I am of no help for you.
