I cannot help you if you are using anything other than the solar devices used by the military. The military uses only one device and it is a 24-volt PulseTech model. There are three wires for connecting to the bank of four batteries: one a 12-volt, one a 24-volt, and one for a ground. The...
There are three military versions of the Mack ENDT-673 engine each one progressively better in performance. The last version was usually coupled with the Spicer 5-speed overdrive transmission for best performance. The parts are not difficult to locate except for the unique water pump used by the...
If I remember correctly, the LMC heavy duty headlight harness does not connect to the truck like the original. You may want to explore your opinions thoroughly.
Yep, this is what everyone needs. remember this is for the gray distribution box only. I do suggest purchasing the $15 test box that connects to this distribution box. Many of the M939 series trucks, especially the rebuilds, already have these boxes installed in the first bay closest to the...
Sorry but my phone is not smart. If I post them here, I must go to Staples (14 miles one way) have them scan it and email it back to my computer. I can be a nice guy but I'm not that motivated. Maybe in a few days.
You must not have the installation instructions. PM me with your address and I will send you a hard copy via snail mail. If this were a CUCV installation, you would run the risk of drawing down one of the 12-volt batteries as they are each charged by its own 12-volt alternator. If this is for a...
Bought the M54A1 out of Laurence Township, NJ in May 2015. It was one of the $1000 trucks on GovPlanet there. It was delivered by Mack in 1965. It was rebuilt in May 1975. It was very ugly when I got it. Roof rotted. Everything was absolute crap. I worked on it all of last summer, fall, winter...
One additional comment or rather a warning. If mounting the tester device to the transmission shift tower, use short screws. Too long and the screws will interfere with the shifting. I learned the hard way!
No step down. The PulseTech unit has two input cables coming off the batteries going to the distribution box: one 12V and one 24V.
Finding a convenient place to mount the distribution box can be a challenge on a Deuce. I do not have a bench seat in my M35A3; I have two single seats and I mount...
You may not have the complete diagram and instructions for installation especially if you have only the distribution box. PM me with your snail mail address. I will send you a hard copy of the complete installation procedures.
Military PulseTech. They connect directly to the 24-volt system and you get eight more 24-volt circuits and four 12-volt circuits. None of your concerns or those mentioned here become an issue. Each circuit is fused in the distribution box and each is selectable as required using wedge type...
Your next surprise will be when you actually receive your SF-97. Do not fret; you are in some very good company. It is the old hurry up and wait process. Its not all bad. The sad part is that one is reluctant to make other purchases until the first one clears. So many Humvees to sell; so little...
I helped the price get to your final price today but I finally convinced myself there will me more in the future and perhaps even closer to home. Having said that...you have what appears to be a fine piece of equipment and I am beginning to take on the color of the truck.
Have you sufficiently warmed up the transmission? Are you running engine oil or transmission oil in the transmission? My M35A3 came with 15-40 engine oil in the transmission. This was not uncommon. Warm ups take longer and the truck needs to be driven slowly until the trans temp comes off dead...
