Have you checked the voltage across the battery? check your voltage with the engine off then start it and check it with it running, should be about 28v when running. I would check the other gauges for a good ground.
There is a small allen head plug next to the terminal cover on the alternator...
I guess I didn't realize parts were so hard to find, though it is an 80 year old vehicle, are there many civilian powertrain parts the will interchange?

The litter mount are what holds the stretchers, it consists of floor mounts, support mounts and rails, the jeep can be set up in 4 configurations, no litters, 1,2 or all 3 litters.
Thanks for the comments, guys, I would agree, great bunch of vehicles, I'm liking that M1030, would love to own any of them, that forklift is nice especially with all the extras, I could use that and the M62 wrecker around the house. Time to stick the engine in the jeep and start hooking things...
