    M985 No Air Pressure

Yea my bad been 40 years since I worked on my 6v92. The truth never had compressor problems with my truck I bought in 1981. O well hope you get it figured.

No fuel at injectors, after replacing filters. Advice needed.

That would be no rotation of the plunger drive gear / plunger.

    M985 No Air Pressure

Were is the unloader valve on that model? Quick Google looks like it is on the other side of your pic under a plate? Governor easy enough to check, the unloader valves a little harder but not bad you would think as you have some room to work on it with compressor installed.

    Thanks Scotty66

He bought my NOS springer seat top and added 20 bucks more on top of what I was asking. Shipping cost was over 100 bucks alone. These days with money tight and the World gone crazy you can always tell the good guys.

What did you do to your trailer today.

Yea my tare weight is something around 8160. Got the title from Govliquidation and had the wrong tare at 18028. Never worried about it as I just used it for storage. Now with tags in insurance thought I would get it straight.

What did you do to your trailer today.

Well my dry van storage trailer had the wrong tare weight so had to empty it of all goodies yesterday with some help. Also added a couple of extra lights just because I had them. Now wait for the DMV to open and get my tag then take it to the Pilot truck stop 10 miles away and put it on the Cat...

Steel Soldiers MV of the month 2021 - November VOTE HERE!

Well I have had more Harley's than the law allows some dripped oil some did not. Some had rear chain oilers that left a little oil where it sat and some people thought is was just a leaky bike. Wrong. Then there are people that think all Harley's need to be worked on every week. Wrong none of...

    T-138 sprag question.

Since we need a air control valve that bleeds off the air on the poppet side like you said the Deuce air switch wonder if a lift axle air valve switch. They do the same thing and bleed off the air in the line when shut off. O well OP has his answers.

    T-138 sprag question.

Also a for air leaks we have the transfer case seal that holds the cylinder air pressure for forward sprag and if it leaks good then in would go into a neutral position from just sitting truck off. You can tell when you transfer case sprag seal is leaking when in forward sprag and you get air...

    T-138 sprag question.

You would think all air would leak out with the rubber seals and the way the rubber packing is designed on the sprag cylinder piston /poppet. Not real great but they work well till they go bad. When you go from forward to reverse the air you hear coming out if the poppet is the air being let...

    T-138 sprag question.

Yea you would figure that it was just something I thought might happen ( over thinking). I just posted that in case there is some way that the piston was still engaged. As said I never did the mod but as said you could see if for some reason it could happen with the truck shut off but aired up...

    T-138 sprag question.

As said I never tried this mod so I do not know if after you cut off the air if the line after the switch could hold enough air to hold sprag in forward or reverse. You can try and see if it does hold air by just switching from reverse to neutral with air cut off a couple of times. Sometimes you...

    T-138 sprag question.

Yep some guys have done the air control mod. Disconnect the rubber air line that comes off the passenger frame rail that runs to the poppet valve and run a new line into the cab to a air control switch. Then return air feed line from switch to poppet valve. Both air lines control the sprag...

No fuel at injectors, after replacing filters. Advice needed.

Without typing everything in the other thread I will say this. Myself I do not need a gage on the tank or installed on the fuel filter bleed screw. If I turn on just the in tank and I open the bleed screw on the filters and I get fuel under some pressure I go with it and feel the system is...

    Teledyne starter

I still have my engine and the 24 volt starter. Thought I saw a post where there was a match for the starter in 12 volt. Some civilian small import if I remember. Does anyone remember if that is true? Tanks

    Can’t get this to start…FIXED!!!

Being we covered everything in the book that would have never crossed my mind that the fuel control unit assembly was put together wrong. Will have to add this one to the books. Well by now you should have a fuel system that is ready to rock and roll for a long time.

    5ton wrecker fun

Think the hook would have been OK and just turning it around so hook is facing tow truck. I have done some lift tows and never did it but thought about a shackle on the boom hole and a chain running down to the truck. Just in case the cable broke. Do not know if really needed and I do not know...

    Can’t get this to start…FIXED!!!

Glad you figured it out because too much thinking was making my brain hurt. So when you had the fuel control unit assembly out you disassembled it? Yea the correct orientation is in the TM.

    Can’t get this to start…FIXED!!!

Even if timing was off seems like you should still have fuel coming out one of the head ports. Now with that said I am grasping at straws here and taking on water. When you said valve covers were off and both valves were closed you checked timing. Did you watch # 1 intake drop and then close...
