    Hmmm, ye'r cluthc is busted...smoke coming out?? I would have quit right at that moment.. Yes the fingers do adjust the pressure AND alignment.. They don't 'fix' yer busted clutch disc. As said previous..Change Everything. post up pictures of dissemble and the fix for them's that's not the job...

    Ace thingy to have and drive, Watch out for tinygpw posts on how we changed the injector pump drive flange. Obtaining russian/Ukranian Parts therof? One drive unit IN STOCK local tractor merchant in the U.K.!

    HA!..I jus' ada thunk!..(Same as a thought 'cept more intense...) IF those two parts fall off, or the clip drops off, Guess What?? The hydraulic head has a SHORTER STROKE!! Result? The engine will never start without 'squirty' stuff...GT80 is what I use...'softer non violent banging/ pre...

    check the timing MARK under the plate on top of the injection pump. The pulley and injection pump marks should align The Hydraulic Head mark is USUALLY just one tooth off the mark at this point.

    Gaskets -- do you make them or source them already made?

    I have used wiskas cat food boxes for thicker gaskets, And grease proof brown paper for the thinner ones. All you need is a Ball Bearing and a ball peen hammer then.

    Grandads watch left in the engine bay!... Ok, That's probably going to be a worn leaky Hydraulic Valve lifter...? As mentioned previously though, have someone plug the exhaust a while, ( only ), And listen the the engine bay for a change in 'sound'.

    I did a while back purchase 3 new hydraulic heads (Chinese ones)..they work perfectly.

    I am following your problem, My M45530C fire truck (Deuce) Has started with this exact issue. Will NOT start without a shot of GT80 EASING SPRAY with TEFLON....Do not use ether. The GT 80 does NOT create a 'Ping or Bang', The truck starts immediately on it. (WD 40 does NOTHING!.) Will not start...

    Welcome to the site and the hobby. Yep, Change the filters. Check the in tank pump is running properly as these trucks (The 5 tons) won't run without the in tank pump. Paint it GREEN,..bleed the brakes..carry out a full service after reading up on the T.M.s. try to attend local events.:driver:

    If the tread wear if from use on the vehicle you should not experience problems. IF you have a sprag clutch..DO NOT set off in 2nd gear after reversing. And, IF you get wind up, drive in the opposing direction that caused it, a short distans 'Jogging' the clutch.

    You know what?..In my (Too(Many)) years of experience...After ANY fix..IF the leak is non apparent, LEAVE WELL ALONE! Don't undo and re-do old components.     Change out the filters, FIRST, Do Not Forget the small filter water/sediment trap at front under fender passenger side. Then, (Hopefully)..Drive On with confidence. If it goes good, Drive steady, 2250 is good rpm's.
