Yea that's true, if I do build it out, I will try to get it around 7 feet at the most from the bed to the top. I currently have the LEDs, toolbox, and a winch in the back which gives me another reason to build a cover over the bed instead of putting a shelter in
Its the m35s truck that cover is on.
Yea I seen those S280 tops, its pretty neat, but it seems like you'll lose about a foot or 2 of space in the bed. I like that ideal of plywood and 2x4s in the back with the canvas covering them, never thought about that one
I seen this bed top before on Eastern Surplus and thought it was a pretty nice alternative to the soft top while not also weighing a lot. It seems like something that can be fabricated as well. The other good part is you keep your bed and still have more space than putting a container of some...
Its leaking while parked on level surface. I drove it for about 100 miles without any leaks, it didn't start leaking till around 3 days of being parked
One thing that came to my mind, why would it stay sealed for a few weeks and then leak afterwards, seems like it'll start leaking soon as I put the pan on or the day after if the pan had got bent or wasn't torque completely to 10 Ibs foot Ibs
From the information I gathered, both of these fluids can be used in the 4l80e but GM recommends the ATF 6, I heard that the ATF 6 is a thinner fluid which can give it a better chance of leaking, which is why I'm asking this question. This is at least my 4th time having a leak with the ATF 6...
Its really hard to diagnose exactly what that noise can be on video. I'll start at checking the belt first, rub some dielectric grease on it and see if the noise would go away, if it doesn't, then that eliminate it from being the belt. The next thing I'll check is the pulleys, injectors, and...
I decided to go with the deep cycle batteries, which ones do I need to wire up to charge the batteries at 12v? I have the dual voltage generator, I'm still undecided on whether I'm going to wire my batteries in 12v or 24v
Does anyone have any tips on putting these back on or is there some special sticker I can use for masking off the areas where I can easily paint it back?
I know its crazy, but I like the original look with the all the numbers & such, mines is faded very badly
Speaking of tires, have anyone tried these? https://ntwonline.com/38x12-50x16-5e-tsl-sx-interco-super-swamper/
Not the price I was thinking of paying but 38s would be nice, especially since those are the same width. Something in the road actually punctured my tire today and its on a flat
Im either going for a 200ah or 300ah lithium battery. I currently already have 3 600w solar panels. The plan is to use it for a backup generator and power supplies around the shop.
I may end up going with another 600w panel if I have the space to fit it nicely
Does anyone know if the humvee generator is able to charge another battery besides the starting battery? I'm about to put together my solar battery bank on the humvee and was wondering would it be possible to also wire the battery to the generator and have it charged that way. I do not want to...
