Like postman said with the correct wiring, but I think its extra unnecessary work, I use a garmin GPS in mines for the speed and that's very accurate. I have the speedo with the cable but it doesn't work
I just ran across this on youtube
Does anyone else have a similar story of the brakes failing with them on their deuce? I know all it takes is one airline to be cut
Yea, its the same, I recently bought a pan for it. Don't forget, you can reuse the same gasket, and don't get some cheap gasket, it will leak
Dextron 6 is the correct fluid
This is the pan I went with since I had to bend my original one to get it off...
I meant to ask if the wiring have anything to do with the speed gauge not working, and yea I got the a new pan and the correct gasket. Tomorrow Im going to install it and see if I still have a leak
I got this pan removed today, its crazy how much this RTV sticks, a lot of the pan got bent up while I was removing it. I have one question, is there something on the wiring that go to the speedo? Or is that the cable on the transfer case?
I got the dual locking ones from them and they wasn't that good. Both of them has the paint pilling and one has the lock turned completely on the wrong side so you can't lock it from the outside, which is the main way I needed to lock them. I think I can fix this by taking the lock off and...
I wonder would the truck prefer this type of fuel over diesel. I would like to start running waste vegetable oil but I'm not really sure what to mix it with so it can be somewhat equally good as diesel
Yea that's true, I had saw oil pan remover on amazon which gives me ideas https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07X6LRBFT?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
That came to my mind but the reason I think its not the front seal is because when I first put the new gasket, it lasted about a month and the RTV itself didn't leak for a day and the leak kept getting bigger over a couple of days
I'm a bit too late, the original gasket on the 4l80e was pretty brittle so I got another gasket which worked for about a month and then started leaking so afterwards I used the gray RTV which lasted for a day till it started leaking.
I now have an original OEM 4l80e gasket but the one problem...
Okay, but one-off topic question, have you ever had to remove that RTV stuff off an oil pan that's stuck on? I have to take my transmission oil pan off which I used gray RTV on, I try to take the pan off by beating it with a rubber hammer, that didn't help so I tried getting it with a crowbar...
So I got it now, that is the drainage hose to the box, the problem I have is the thing broke off so I got to either get another air box or just seal the bottom up with some flex paste or some other paste that will complete cover the small hole
I was servicing my air filter and cleaning out the housing and notice this rubber piece there. I don't know where it fell from but I just saw it sitting underneath the housing
