What Rory said. Rapco
I painted a Deuce and an M813 with rattle cans. Takes 18 cans for a Deuce and 22 for an M813. Powerwash and spray Rustoleum red primer on questionable spots.
I've been to every one (except covid cancellation) since 2008 and only walked around once to see the whole thing. For the most part I hang out with the group.
I have driven through Connersville (town north of Laurel) 4 times this week and we saw another hotel on IN44 called Grey Haven. Old style motel and small. I doubt I could put truck and trailer in there if the lot was full.
Reviews improved after it was taken over by new management. Easy to...
You must be careful when buying strobes from either Amazon or Ebay as some sellers seem to think that strobe means flashing. I have some and what I got was lights that flash at about the same rate as hazard lights on a car (slow).
To me a strobe is what you see on an emergency vehicle and it...
I think you are wishing for the good ole days pricing:

I can't find anything about the Team America hitch and design he had. I know he sold a few on here and it actually attached to the pintle.

At this point it sounds like an honest attempt to place a value on the truck.
It sounds like something I wouldn't mind having since getting rid of my bigger trucks but age has caught up with me.
That's where I got my hotel room. From the first week of the new location post to the second week when I booked the rooms had gone up. :-(
But it is nice the my room will be a few thousand feet from the Nuclear facility. I'll be self-lighting for future night rides.
I'm surprised you found a quality hitch for that cheap or even a bad one for that matter. I'd say the $599 is on the low side.
We had a member that made hitches but he is not around anymore.
I'm not an electrician but I know a few. ;-)
I would not go for less than 4 gauge wire for that rating and distance based on charts. Probably bigger but then you have to consider if the terminals will fit. If I wanted to run it at full load a long time then I would go even bigger.
But...
I had to go back and read what I posted at the start of this. My first thought was that it was a great idea. It still is a great idea.
I just pointed out that in an accident lawyers get involved and that is why I wouldn't do it. As for inspecting it and thinking that is going to get you off...
Yes, it is sad but it is the world we live in. I'm risk averse in my profession and carry specialty insurance in my private life for it as well.
It's not like I have never added a safety feature to an MV. Remote reservoir to my M813 when I still had it was good thing.
