But seriously, if the lights are on but dim that indicates a resistance somewhere along the line. Corrosion at a splice point or a connector would be what I would look for.
Luckily for me I have two NAPA stores reasonably close and one time I went in and an old-timer said you know White put those engines in their tractors.
So anything unusual I go to that store. It's in the largest pork producing county in Ohio so I expect it.

Are you using an impact of any kind to help with the bolts? After the soak it helped with all the crap we do in the barn. Like a small Dewalt and not a 1400ftlb version...
Hagerty and Gulfway are similar in that they specialize in collector's vehicles. I think the last time I paid them my M813 was around $215 for the year for full coverage and $10k value.

I would suggest Behr elastomeric paint. I use it for our house on the concrete block. It is designed for movement and filling cracks and remaining flexible.
