This was directly from the US Army. The card inside said it had changed the S7 switch and K1 contact. Obviously when installing the switch they reversed the diode and became a parts machine. I had to replace both fuel pumps, fuel solenoid stop and hoses and quite a few other little things.
I like the challenge of getting the non runners going. More of the ones with mechanical issues. I am slowly learning how to work on the generator side. I do have to thank my parents for buying me the Radioshack circuit board hobby kits when I was a kid. Capacitors and Diodes!
Steelsoldiers has got to be the best place for info! I'm learning generators and now have 5 Mep802s in my shop. I can only help with Humvee questions as that is my speciality, but Iove to learn.
Have a Mep 802A that has power to receptacles. Only power to lugs when I hold up the contact switch. As soon as I let go the light goes off and no more power to lugs. K1 was replaced. Any suggestions?
I just called my local aluminum supplier and was quoted $248 for flat stock 48x48 1/4 aluminum. So it looks as I may go this route as it's way cheaper!
Thanks, I'm just trying to get ready when M1167 gets here to start installing the hardtop and slantback pieces to my M1152. It might be nice to drive around with a sun roof.
