    Carb info

So I am having a issue with a carb on one of my M37's , at the moment I think it's a float issue. But digging thru my parts I remembered I had a NOS carb. In the box was this paper work. I scanned it in my computer and thought I'd share it with who ever may need it. SEMPER FI !! Keith

Any Humvee shops / business on here?

@ Retired, You are correct, time is money for these shops. I have been lucky enough to have some friends that work at local paint and body shops that can work "off the clock" and have taught me the "basics'' for painting, which has saved me lots of cabbage. Most shops are in to turning...

    Lettering

I have used the paint mask markings from "Rick Larsen", www.militarystencils.com , He's a member on this forum, a good friend, and does make a quality product. Just a option for ya, and he can direct you with the correct numbers for the period you want to restore your truck to. Semper Fi !! keith

    M939 Series Referbs

Thanks Bruce, I've seen your posts and value your opinion. One issue I had when I picked this truck up in Huntsville was the hose for the power steering was cut too short and leaked fluid. I had to correct that issue before I put it on the road for the 200 mile ride home. So far, 5 years...

    M939 Series Referbs

    M939 Series Referbs

Does anyone on the forum have any "direct" knowledge of what's done to a M923 that goes thru referb @ RRAD ? I've seen some discussions on it before on the forum but not sure if it was current with our recent releases. Semper Fi !! keith

    Console / Stereo Installation?

While I am amazed at the good quality work that goes into the application of a sound system....I think it's kinda like installing a radio in the engine compartment of a greyhound bus. :) :) ;) SEMPER FI ! keith

    M37 Driveability

If you want your truck to last keep the RPM's down and road speed 50 mph or below for a stock M37. Once I considered my M37 for a DD, but found I didn't have the time for a "fun" drive and needed to get where I had to go post haste. A CUCV 1008 or 1009 will make a better every day ride than a...

    HMMWV Rollover Crash, Indiana

Even under the best conditions with trained personnel, roll cage or not, a night time roll over in deep water (over 5') is going to be tough to survive. Cold water and panic are killers. I'm sorry to hear about these women losing their lives in such a way. If they were wearing seat belts trying...

    Top speed

I rolled on to I-10 and ran 60 mph for 180 miles non stop heading over to the USS Alabama for a truck rally a few years back. My 6.2 / 3 speed seems to run well at that speed as I had zero issues there and back. But for non interstate travel 50-55 mph is all it sees. Semper Fi ! keith

    M939 Series Prices

Back when these trucks were being sold at action the prices were fairly reasonable for a decent truck (4-5 yrs ago).. But here lately it seems they have exploded in value. This is not the way green stuff is designed to go, the more work and money you put in it the LESS it's worth. Some one...

    HHMWV Fuel tank leak

ACTION...his truck is a 1987, they take the old style tanks which are few and far between these days. Those new ones on the web are for trucks that don't have the rotors up high on the drive line. I found a new one for my 87 about 15yrs ago at a guard unit in Montgomery and tried my best to...

M923A2 - Are all 4 Batteries required to start the engine?

Brought both of my 5 tons (M923-M923A2) home on two batteries. Like Sandcobra stated ...cold weather will hurt you with only two as far as cranking time goes. For two Batt's your red (main) cable goes to one positive terminal and your ground (black) cable goes to your second batt's NEGITIVE...

    Air Pressure Issue

On closer inspection while the vehicle was running I found that I had a constant flow of air out of the bottom of the air dryer. I've looked thru some of the posts related to the air dyer and made the determination to replace it with a newer updated unit rather than worry with this one. I...

Trail riding with the big boys..

A few years back our club (Dixie Division) had our yearly meet and trail ride down here in So Alabama. Our area was blessed with a lot of rain that week which made our creek crossing "interesting". SEMPER FI !!! keith

    Tire question

Any of you guys swap your 1400x20's over to the 395x20's ? Any pics on the height difference you could share? General thoughts as to advantage? There is a vendor on the site I want to purchase from and I don't wish to waste his time with my second guessing. SEMPER FI !! keith
