Ok...I had a few minutes this morning to go over TM and check lines on the compressor. Manual isn't totally clear BUT it looks like the lines running out of the compressor on the back side are coolant lines as they run back into the block and head of the engine. The small metal line that comes...
I have not serviced anything on the air system yet other than routine air drains. Just finished engine and tranny service last month and the fuel system the month before. I will print off the trouble shooting section of the TM this week for the air system and go from there. Just been...
Picked up a M923A2 a few months back and I have noticed that as I have ran it to build air pressure it makes a loud honking sound , sounds like a pissed off goose, from underneath the truck. Sounds like it comes from the air dryer area . Only does it a few times during a half hour idle....so...
Wreckerman how did you solve your issue??? I also have a A2 and I logged on the link DogHead provided and submitted my request for a price quote from supplier ..it's been 48 plus hours and no reply from the company. Figured I get a jump on purchasing that part now.

Thanks for the info guys....Once I get it here to my shop I will have a closer look at it. It just pisses me off to see such a nice truck damaged this way. Did a search of the forum for this issue and I didn't find any one who had this happen and repaired on a M37.
I'll try and post some pics...
Radiator is fine....we just had sit the cab back on last month and he "thought" that by having the radiator off and in storage it would be fine. He forgot about the engine flush and the water left in the block.

Maybe the crack can be repaired....I just learned about it recently and I am still trying to compose myself enough to go look at it. Sure there are LOTS of options....but I'm working on my WC52 project right now and I dont desire nor do I have the time to repair some one eles stupidity. So...
I have been helping a friend of mine do a frame off restoration on a 1952 M37. I know the trucks well as I have three that I've done the same to. Well it seems my friend left it outside of his garage this past month to make room for something eles and the unusally cold sub freezing temps we had...
Find your control box....lower left drivers side....check and make sure the wiring harness is tight going into the box. Next...check the voltage on BOTH batterys. They will not start under normal conditions if voltage drops below 18 volts.

I can relate to your euphoria....I had a problem devolop with my M1009 last month. Owned the vehicle for eight years with just minor repairs and problems. Out of the clear blue it started shifting late and HARD. A quick search on here for those type of issues provided the information I needed...
Glad you made it without any issues. I didn't have any major worries for you with the excellent condition your truck was in. Plus the g'ment fuel just about got you out of the state.
This forum has helped me a great deal with my projects over the years and I didn't mind spending some time...
Many thanks there Emmado......maybe one of our parts guys will catch this thread and i can purchase the A2 mount and related parts for the conversion. I want to have them in stock so if my old tank goes bad i can swap over. HAPPY NEW YEAR !!

Has anyone replaced their old 1985-90 fuel tank with one of the newer ones? My understanding is they will not fit due to the old style brake arrangement. Just wondering if there is chance they might work.

YES SIR !! If you run those magnesium run flats longer than the "slim" was intended to grease the inside of that tire you will over heat the tire. Once the rubber starts to burn the metal is not far behind. Magnesium is a Class D fire and is EXTREMELY hard to put out with water (which makes...
These I picked up were already balanced. Had the "balance OK" stickers inside the rim. I'm currently not running run flats in my MT's as I upgraded to new rims (12 bolt) and new tires (radials) when I bought my truck back in 2001. I thought the new 24 bolt rims looked great.....so a new...
I saw last couple of months a large number of lots coming out of Oklahoma City, some looked pretty good (90%) and some were in sad shape. The way they are wrapped it really makes a on-site inspection a must. I recently picked up a 24 lug set for my M998 with 95%+ tread. I can only assume they...
Hmmmmmm....ok..... well I don't get out into the world much so I am a little behind on what is current with offroaders. But that would explain alot. Any idea if the 24 lug rims have the run-flats installed ?

Have you checked the pressure switch to make sure it's working correctly ? If it is bad even new wiring won't help. Just because it has power to it doesn't mean it works.
