On the Niehoff alts the AC terminal is one half System voltage AC Sine wave.
so on your 200amp it would be a 14v AC signal. with a DVOM that has a Frequency/HZ function you can take a reading from the AC terminal to get the RPM of the Alternator. in normal Diesel setups Alternator RPM is a 3:1...

N1387 is a dual voltage alternator which will charge both 28v and 14v at the same time.
it uses the Regulator to Rectify one of its two stators down to 14v 50amp max.
what that means is that total system Amperage will be the combined load 28v and 14v.(so if you have 100amp on 28V and 50amp on...
For the Niehoff once it looses power on IGN it will not produce power as the Regulator with turn off the field coil. Basically just don't disconnect batteries while the Alt is "Running" (power to IGN and Rotating at needed RPM).
the mounting feet should match up and it should fit.
the extra 10 amps only come in when the alternator is at full Revs so you most likely won't notice the difference.
for the 14v side make sure it is connected to battery at midpoint if it is not hooked up it will not output 14v. Basically you...
In the N3135 installation instructions from Niehoff Shows that 2A goes to the AC terminal and 568 goes to the IGN terminal
