I stand corrected. The wheels on my parts trucks are M35/M211 as well. Just never noticed. Hopefully the spare on #4984 is a M135 rim or I might be searching for a couple of them.
Now to figure out the wiring questions.
Last Saturday I had a little time and ended up washing 30 years worth of dirt out of the engine compartment and cab of the orange M135 (#4984) and looking things over before I try to start it back up.
Does anyone know what the rear wheel (right wheel in the pic) here belongs too? It is...
We definitely need a transmission rebuild thread. This is great info! All those parts make this look a little intimidating but I think I can do it.
I could still use those, but if you need to wait a while, that will be fine. I'm going to try checking linkage, TCV, etc. before I tear into the...
I have a similar problem with my M135 when it is hot. Not as noticeable in the cooler weather, but more so during the summer months. Really interested in seeing what solves this for you.
Glad to see you made it over here. Pictures would help us a lot on answering your questions. The carburetor used on the G749 series is the Holley 885-FFG. Here are some pics of one I ended up rebuilding.
I adjusted mine with the wheels on after I had assembled everything. Just jacked up one axle at a time and both wheels turned freely. Worked well for me.
I am pretty sure this was the issue with my new wheel cylinder leaking problem a while back. The master cylinder that was on the truck had...
Sounds good on the master parts list. We can work together if you want and add it all to our spreadsheet for everyone. Let me know what I can do to help.
Hopefully you can find a truck close by here soon.
Cool! I will add these as well. How should I list these so the wording is correct in the parts list? Reverse Cone and Reverse Piston for the #41a and #41? What about for Cone #113 and piston #113a?
Are you going to pick up that core transmission and rebuild it? If so, can you make a video or at...
It definitely takes all of us to build this parts list. Keep up the good work guys!!

Part numbers and everything!!! That is great information. I will get those added to our parts list soon.
There probably is not a huge demand right now. Maybe if we can come up with enough readily available parts and people see that these trucks can be brought back to life, there will be more of...
No. I need to call the man. Have been busy with some other projects. I see this truck on my way to and from work everyday and it is still there. I'll try to call him within the next week or so and find out the details.
Sorry for leaving you guys hanging on this
After receiving these words of wisdom from Another Ahab in reference to questioning weather I should use a Battery Tender, I did some research and decided to get one. Thank you Ahab for making this easy for me.
This is what I decided to get, believing it is what is best for my needs right now...
There are transmission rebuild kits available still and I have failed to list it in our parts list. I will re-confirm the part numbers with Sturmtyger380 (I think it was him that found the kit??)and get them posted up.
It seems that these trucks are getting harder to find and some areas of the...
