EDIT: I found a top.
I'm looking for a metal top for my M37, any condition as long as it is structurally sound. Must be complete. Paint, surface rust, dents, don't matter. Willing to pick up in Utah and surrounding states. Will pay shipping as long as it stays within my budget.
Also looking for...
Is it here on the site? I must have missed it.
And here I was going to also start a thread on other things that require knowing what they are for and how to operate them.
Okay... so lift the one on the bottom right so that the other levers can be moved to select the lights you want on.
How about the little nubbins between the gauges? In the picture it shows one labeled high beam. How are those used?
I tried to start the ragtop M37 Power Wagon yesterday. No bueno... It's not getting fuel and starting fluid never got more than a sputter. The truck has been sitting since '03 according to the previous owner. It had two, what looks like "brand new" Interstate batteries in it so I suspect it was...
It's important to NOT TURN the air/fuel adjusting screws down tight. A lot of carbs have been ruined by turning the brass screws down tight and the needles being scored. A light touch to barely close them, and then two turns out.
I'm hoping someone with experience will post, too. I want to actually drive my truck instead of storing it most of the time, so am considering what kind of modifications will be necessary.
Good luck with your project and I'll be lurking to see if you get some good information.
Gotta say, as a newbie here and new to owning three M37s, considering a restomod drivetrain swap, I never thought about an eletric motor. But it is a fascinating idea and this thread has me intrigued. I'll be lurking to see where it all ends up.
