I think I will try swapping the front plates, that will be the quickest and cheapest. All I will have to do is file down where the torque converter rubbed a ridge where the oil seal sits. Thanks for the idea!!!
So here we go, have some questions for all you transmission gooroo's. The 6 bolts that hold the flex plate on the engine came loose and let the torque converter eat its way into the transmission and messed up the seal on the output shaft. I did not know all of this at the time, I just thought...
So I am thinking about putting backup lights on the M872A1 cattle trailer because sometimes the sun goes down before we are done working for the day. Sometimes there is not a pickup to shine the lights on when needed backing up to a loading shute.
So I ask how does one go about wiring it so I...
So the transfer case went out on the M936, well it is just a bad bearing. Getting it home took some time for it would not want to stay in low or high for very long. I had it up a canyon loading saw logs to make lumber. Driving it to the low boy was about 5 miles, but getting it home was another...
Update,
After taking it all apart I confirmed that the bearing failed big time behind the yoke. The T case could be saved I think? But I am not sure it would be worth it or I would trust it afterwords. I think I will just baby it home if possible and look into putting a new one under it. Is...
When using the M936 the other day the T case got hot where the short drive line come in from the transmission and started smoking. The truck did not want to move so I let it cool down and checked the oil level (Oil was good and has been changed not long ago) after letting cool down all was good...
The M818 will pull harder than the M932 in my opinion but neither one will break any speed records loaded. If you bought a 818 look into duel fuel line and it will help a little.
Does anyone know what the Napa,Carquest, National # for the seal that goes on a TH400 transmission behind the torque converter?
I have taken the old seal in to town to get one and the one they ordered was wrong. I am in kind of a pickle for I live 60 miles one way from town and I can't just...
I got mine from Boyce Equipment, they are not fun to change. I put new ones on a M818 and did it while the engine was out and removed the front spring hangers and lifted the truck up with M936 and left the tires on the ground like scissors. Hope this helps
OK thanks all you guys, I will try it as soon as I can. It will be mid Nov. or so for we are starting our fall roundup and I will not have time to play with it. I bet it is the Hz. that is messing me up, the 002A is sitting right on 60 Hz and still pumping water. I can't thank you guys enough...
Yes we use 2 phase, and the water pump will only pump one direction that I know of. It has to be the 802A is not doing it's job for some unknown reason? All the water pumps we have run on 240 volts even the ones that feed our houses but they are hooked to power and they too have control boxes...
The control box is for the pump itself and is mounted on the windmill tower, it has nothing to do with the 802A or the 002A, every submersible pump has one, they have the starting capacitors inside that stars/ runs the pump and the reset buttons are on bottom of that box. The momentary toggle...
We use our MEP's for pumping water for cattle, all wells have submersible pumps (3 and 4 horse) and every pump has a control box and on the bottom of the control box has 2 reset buttons. So here we go with the question, the ranch bought 2 MEP802a's and at one pump station sits a 002a with dead...
How would one go about bypassing the low fuel light? I have mine just hooked straight to fuel pump from tank that is mounted on trailer and is gravity fed to main pump and return line plumed to tank. I have not run it but just a few minutes so now reading this I am worried about long time...
First let me say sorry for no photos, I never have a camera with me. But the good news is the Ranch bought 2 "new to us" CUCV's for ranch trucks. One I have questions about. I think someone tried to convert it to a 12V system, the slave wires are cut, the batteries are not wired in series, the...
Yea, mine does not have that kind of cap, that just might be part of the problem, I don't know? I bet it was lost and they (whoever) just put that rubber plug in it?
I cleaned the filter not long ago, it had some trash in it but not bad, it points to "clean" and fluid is full in tank. I know when she gets hot the boom control will want to stick both in up and down but when it's all cool all works like a champ. I think personally that the hydraulic pump might...
The pipe was not all that heavy, about 200 feet of 2 inch pipe but with no water in pipe (hole in pipe letting the water out) and after we let it cool down all was just fine. When it overheated we were not idling it down when unscrewing pipe (about 1 1/2 hours) then after it cooled down we would...
Yesterday we were pulling pipe out of a windmill using the M936. The boom up and down did not want to respond as it should and noticed that the Hydraulic oil got hot enough to fry an egg on top of the tank so we shut it down to let it cool off. After about 5 minutes all the sudden she blew the...
