that is by far the coolest thread I have ever read!!!!!!! I have wanted one for ever. My hat is off to you and your work. Now I must ask a stupid question, how does a half track turn? Is there enough weight on the front wheels to turn or do the tracks brake like a cat (dozzer) when you turn the...
I have made my living working cattle and might give my 2cents. This is what I would do if I HAD TO, put allot dirt in the bottom so they will not slip around as much. put the top bows on and tie them down, and mabie some bords across the top so if the tried to jump out it might stop them or slow...
On the ranch that I work on, one word "ROCKS", our tires are in rocks all the time. Radial tires do not last at all, we must use bias mud and snow only on ranch pickups and trucks. We still have tires on some stuff that was on when I was a kid 30 years ago. The only bad thing is that they do not...
I say buying from GL is good for some people. I have bought 2 times without prevew just because of where I live and have little choice. I hauled mine home and I thank my lucky stars that I did. They both tured out to be good MV's so I can't say anything bad about GL just the people that work...

I got a duece to haul lots of wood at one time and or fence post on the ranch. I got a M818 to haul the dozer from one end of the ranch to the other to save on the dozer, and to haul cattle on a straight deck trailer with racks. I will get a wrecker one of these days to pull water wells and load...
I have said in the past that I would not own a Bobber, they serve no use to me or would they? I might put 8.25-20 or 7.00-20 tires on it to lower the bobber so I could pull a gosseneck horse trailer and burn oil instead of so much diesel on the ranch. I wonder if anybody has thought of that?
I am planing a recovery at barstow myself. Once my euc clears and gl and I set a date I am on my way. They say that they will not load so I am taking eveything and the kitchen sink to load my M818. I did not get to prevew it because of work so I am worried about what I have wating on me, but not...
Welcome Recy, from New Mexico. I went Down Under and worked on a big cattle station in the Nothern Territory, made some good friends there and never will forget it. I would like to take my family there one day so they can see to. I REALLY liked the beer and the Bundaburg (Miss spelled) Rum. Feel...
I tryed to look this up with no luck. I have never got a chance to be around a M936 Wrecker. I would not mind having one to pull water wells, but when they say that the boom is 18 feet, does that mean off the deck or from ground level? Pipe joints are 20 feet long for the most part so would a...
