I've cross referenced carrier bearing numbers and such and found all them . And 76-86 cj7 jeep uses same carrier bearings , so in theory should use same shims . Better than the $223 am general shim

Im on north shore . This is sleet not snow. We had snow few weeks ago though . Humvee Is worst vehicle I ever drove on icy roads! No weight on rear end and rear tires kinda angle in at bottom so it gets crazy on ice

I've crawled around and searched but can't find any tag with ratio on either diff . I found casting numbers and some stamped numbers on housing . Besides removing diff cover and counting teeth and math is any other way to tell ?
Fit fine . Just had to add timbers to get over wheel wells . Little tire hang off each side . About same when I had m715. Clunk is ring and pinion slack . Anyone know ratio in 1990 m998? 2.56 or 2.73? I've found nos 2.73 diffs
Finally got euc approved and picked up Thursday ! Very happy with it . Very. Nice truck and brand nEw tires . All fluids so far fresh and clean . Engine oil black as usual . Changed that . All steering parts are new . Checking portal hubs today and has a clunk in rear so gotta hunt for that to...
