i love them, I prefer the 82 models, but have fixed/modified h120's and repaired a handfull of 140's. IMO i think the sitting is worse on them than running them every day.
I have OK state farm, it was a process to get AMi (m916 and m970) and Betty (m998) both added to my policy, lots of questions, calls and photos from my agent, now they are on, they auto renew with no issues.
Today we had the opportunity to play a little with some power, have a 125KW genny that had an IP replaced and 'needed' to load test it to verify the repair, *not really but its fun*
Largest load tester I have is Essex A698,
We ran the load tester wide open, pulled 225 amps per leg, guessing...
this is a 30kw 005a that was locked up from wet stacking, it lives still in Montana on an off grid ranch. if it were built by man it can be fixed with enough parts patience and time.

So does anyone have a guess where all these tankers are going out of Hooks?

only if my wife knows i am looking at another old truck, those old trucks need saved even if we kill new trucks to do it. I already have a 2016 running gear ready and waiting for a transplanted body
my wife doesnt worry about me talking to other women, she worries about me talking to Tony from...
what? more green iron at the haystack farm? yes, it was a horse trade for hay, traded it as a non runner, bypassed the pcb with 3 wires and made it run, kinda hurt the guys feelings because he had 2 other non green mechanics look at it, it did have a cracked fuel filter housing that was throwing...
@cancunlarry
short short version, if there is a flame, 2000 ohms or less, prefer less than 1000 ohms from wires F to F at K8 relay on H82, or
wire TB3-1 and wire TB3-2 from terminal board TB3
I think those are the right leads on the h140
best off the shelf replacements I can find are
Honeywell C554a
Westwood E80,
E81 is cad cell eye only for both manufactures
if you order, make sure you get the correct length leads, some were short as 6" or as long as 60"
