Finally getting around to utilizing the other bracket the M1010 has on the floor. Tired of my extinguisher rolling around and being stuffed under a seat. @kodiakmetalworks provided a bracket which has holes almost dead on for the existing holes. I threw my old extinguisher 🧯 in currently but I...

Was looking for a shop in or near Milwaukee to work on M1008; then did it all myself!

These are the ones I installed and I'm happy with the results. Rifle brackets... 🤫

I just followed some of the recommendations of others from here: How to keep her cool? Guys in AZ keeping their temps down. I drove her quit a bit Sunday and had the temp go up some (188-189) after driving for several hours then running at 55-60 for a while but I need to double check my...

I think Wednesday was the hottest day we’ve had this year so let’s take the M1010 out. 🙄 Temp was taken where the gauge sensor is, the gauge was a little above 180. Fan clutch never engaged... pretty happy with the results! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🥓🥓🥃🥃 #m1010 #cucv

I’ve been getting work done but haven’t been good about documenting it. But, a few pics of progress. I did put some Eastwood platinum rust preventative on the floors and painted them, installed some sound deadener and heat shield. Wrestling with some vinyl floor covering and fully securing the...

The brackets fit nicely and are worth the money in my opinion. I'll add some poly fill in them with the final install.

Working with CAD to finally mount up the radio. Totally stole this from someone else! Also working on some sound deadening in the cab and the speaker mounts ( @7387com ). I threw the speakers in to see how they would look. Still have wiring to do. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🥓🥓🥃🥃 #m1010 #cucv

    NV4500 Swap into Stock 6.2 Diesel / TH400 / NP208 M1028/M1008 - COMPLETED

It could be that. I've been told mine is definitely an '84 because of some features on the ambulance body. I'll have to make a pattern of some sort.

It's an aftermarket sway bar from ORD. It isn't centered like the original by the links so the collars keep it from moving side to side.

    NV4500 Swap into Stock 6.2 Diesel / TH400 / NP208 M1028/M1008 - COMPLETED

I have cleaned up where the clutch master cylinder should mount and only found one noticeable dimple instead of three.

Finally finished up some spacers for my sway bar mounts so the collars don’t hit the frame. I had cleaned and finally mounted up my overflow tank. I also fished a wire for a dome light and mounted a light up. I didn’t get it wired up before the rains came. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🥓🥓🥃🥃 #m1010 #cucv

    M1010 lower radiator hose

I run the NAPA hose. Trim the radiator end to move the dip in the hose more centered on the belt... :driver:

I got my radiator back! I spy some bigger tubes in there! Working on getting things back together. The new core fills the tanks out nicely! I also upgraded to a Haden HD fan clutch and a Derale 6 blade fan to complete the project. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🥓🥓🥃🥃 #m1010 #cucv

Just knocking off some projects... Wire brushed and painted the rad support under the radiator, remembered the 1/8” port where I could put the temp sensor for the coolant gauge, put a Tee in for the oil pressure sender, mounted the house battery which meant I could play some tunes, and the...
