BestBoatWire is very good! They sell all kinds of stuff. It is very reassuring to see the seal ooze out of the heat shrink of the connector! Now knowing you have a good mechanical crimp as well as an adhesive bond also that is sealed. (y)
Yeah, the lack of opening is the only thing holding me back.
As far as the truck in snow, extremely predictable compared to my CJ7 that had a locker. It would walk out a little and then dig enough to grab. For the picture I had t put it in 4 wheel drive to move some fluids around.
Definitely use good connectors... these seal off the ends. Also, they are a good source for any other wiring needs.

Snow is less common for sure... ice is more the norm. I remember a long drive one night up I35 from from Dallas to Norman in my Firebird Formula to get to school. :driver:
Fun 🙄 project. Needed to uncap the third line on the sending unit for the heater fuel feed. Pulled the sending unit to check how deep the pickup is... to the bottom 👍. Extended the fuel line out. Second time I’ve installed a tank in this thing in the dark... 😜. Finished plumbing the heater...
I tried multiple times to fire mine till it pee'd diesel all over the compartment. I just fired my Planar heater a couple days ago and I am very happy with it!! Recovered a good amount of storage space as well!
Black Friday purchase came in. 24v Compressor and a 2.5 gallon tank. Compressor fits behind the battery box and the tank will tuck up in between the fuel tank and the body work and mount on the box supports right below the compressor. Some days I read the tape measure correctly... some days... I...
These shipped to me back in June. I haven’t done anything to them other than top balance them in groups of 4. When they shipped I got a video of them all being 3.29v for a combined 26.32v. First time I’ve had them all together and they still show 26.25v after traveling and then sitting almost 6...
While I agree that belt alignment reeks havoc on these old v-belts. I have also looked at possible adding a tensioner/ idler pulley to deal with the belt 'strum'. Every time I drive the M1010 after a while I have to get use to sound the upper alternator belt makes, especially at idle in gear.
I’ve been working on a box/ hold down for my house battery and think I have it worked out now! I need it done as I also accomplished some more wiring. The Sony Kicker combo is up and running! Some neighbors said it sounds good... 🤣 We have tunes!!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🥓🥓🥃🥃 #m1010
Some post Turkey wiring! Installed pods and 6.5 Kicker speakers. Picked up a 4” foam futon mattress. Started wiring the DC-DC charger that will separate the house battery and box from the main batteries. Installed a DC-DC reducer with a variable voltage output. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🥓🥓🥃🥃
