Electric power steering for M35A2 Deuce

I saw this video the other day and just remembered a post on this site looking for information on this sort of thing. The truck seemed similar in size and weight, so the parts being discussed might be interesting. Somebody will be along shortly to explain why it won't work.

Possibility of adjusting fuel and droop screw ELECTRONICALLY ON THE FLY? Maybe.

But then ... no I won't. I've talked about: Bobbing a Deuce ... Using wmo ... Painting with house paint ... And sewing my own top ... ... and all I've ever heard from those who know EVERYTHING about the Deuce is these things can't be done and they will wreck my truck and I'm STUPID for...

Possibility of adjusting fuel and droop screw ELECTRONICALLY ON THE FLY? Maybe.

As for One and Two, Even though I've owned operated and repaired my own (bobbed) M35a2 for 12 years +/-, I'm too STUPID to know those things? Allow me a question ... did you at least go to the videos to see how this works? Allow me to forecast an answer: " NO!!! Why the heck would I do...

Possibility of adjusting fuel and droop screw ELECTRONICALLY ON THE FLY? Maybe.

I already know because I've already heard it. "Nope ... this will never work and its the stupidest thing we've ever heard of. Don't even waste your time looking at this crap." soanyoldways ... there's this guy on YT (I can already hear the eyes rolling) who does a lot of odd projects, like...

Need Mechanic in No. Georgia to repair brakes on M35a2

I enlisted the help from a young man I know from Church. He's a carpenter and knows nothing about motor vehicles. I told him it wouldn't matter and I could talk him through everything. I call him Soldier C 1/2. We were able to inspect the brakes for leaks and adjust the brakes. The first 2...

Why do I need DOT 5 brake fluid in my Deuce 1/2 ?

During my time as a mechanic, I have never done this. What liquid would be used to flush the DOT 5 out the system? Eeazy Peazy with a power bleeder.

Need Mechanic in No. Georgia to repair brakes on M35a2

I suppose some will like to include all this into "Costs of Owning a Deuce". I bought my truck 13 years ago when I was turning 60 and still as spry as a baby goat. Back then my truck went from this: to this: in less than 2 months all by my self in the comfort and privacy of my back...

Need Mechanic in No. Georgia to repair brakes on M35a2

I re-read the above post, and if it sounds like I'm whining and crying up there ... I ain't. I'm just telling why I can't do the work I know how to do. For me, the word "sympathy" lies in the dictionary somewheres between "shxt" and syphilis" and no way do I need ANY of them. I'm just looking...

Why do I need DOT 5 brake fluid in my Deuce 1/2 ?

DOT 5 is expensive and getting hard to find, at least in north Georgia. The last time I bought any I had to order it from one of the outfits who sell military vehicle parts.

Need Mechanic in No. Georgia to repair brakes on M35a2

I am looking for a mechanic in North Georgia (Pickens County) who would be willing to travel to my home, inspect, adjust and bleed my brakes to diagnose no pedal after sitting for abut 3 years, and possibly rebuild the airpack or master cylinder as required. My thinking is it is probably the...

    Waste Oil filter

I have about 1,500 gallons of "waste petroleum products, WPP" and 275 gallons of clean Jet Fuel for blending. Almost all of my WPP came from auto repair shops of some form. I wouldn't put ANY of it straight into my truck's tanks. The Jet Fuel came from an airport not far from me. The fuel...

    Waste Oil filter

I know this is an old thread on a very controversial subject. I bought my M35a2 pretty much for its multi fuel capability. I have not put any diesel in Henry in 12+ years and have put over 20K miles on waste oil. I'm not claiming a record, but I am saying I don't run diesel. I have made no...

    Soft top from scratch

I have been advised that a product called HH-66 Vinyl Cement is a good adhesive for my "build a top" project. I did a search and it's easily available (ebay, Amazon, et cetera) in various size containers having various prices. I'm going to give it a try and will report back. I am going to...

I'd be interested to see and help post the pictures. PM on the way.

    Soft top from scratch

I guess I'm going to pick it up from here, but I have mixed feelings about needing to lose a thumb to get it done. I've had both of them for some time now, and I guess you could say they've kinda grown on me. I'm ordering the material today. By my measurements, I'll need 5 yards to do a...

    Soft top from scratch

I've not done a top, but I did make my own seat covers a long time ago. I took the old seat cover bottom and back apart, and used them as a pattern. All these years later and they are still in good shape.

    Soft top from scratch

Thank you. Bulldogger sells something as well. As soon as I figure out what I need, I'll be ordering from him.
