Not to jack the thread but i have a F250 superduty and was wondering would the 14.5 tires fit on it.
Currently I have the 275/65r20 from the factory on it and will need new skins shortly
I saw this video of a guy whol built this out of a 1 ton 4x4 and thought that an old duece would make a better platform as it has a larger bed area to start with.
any thoughts?
Make sure you watch it till the end and look at the pictures inthe slideshow for all the ammenities.
Ok I see that people get touchy talking about auctions or specifics. But with the enthusists here trying to work out recovery efforts, and maybe if a bunch of a class of truck were going to show up, then the prices might be a bit lower, might make for an easier time for a guy to recover a truck...
I agree that adding armor to a bigger truck would be a bit easier.
However, back in the late '80s and leading into Desert Storm, we began modifying our 60 mounts on hummers to resemble the old ACAV 113s. conveyor belt inbetween two sheets of 1/4" steel would stopp 7.62 x 51 rounds. Since it...
ok come clean...the reason your gonna sell a few is becuse no tracked vehicles until you get rid of some of the trucks....
But thanks for the tour and all the info, ideas and help on understanding this new obsession for me.
I really do like the 5 ton and the A3 with the winch tucked around...
Hey ALredneck, can ypu drop me a PM about routes and places you are willing to haul from?
Dependingon the location, I might have a load or two if i win an GL auction
Heavy -- yes
Matter of fact today we were at the gun rights policy conferance in Rosement. We were looking at GL listing on my IPAD and going over stuff during one of the breaks.
Fire -- becuase I can get one cheper than what he has in some of his after recovery and such. For what I'm looking for. And I think he is attached to many of his,
Swamp -- Yea he does, he is registered here, but it's in Geneseo
there were at least three more around the corner including a nice A3 with winch. A 818 tractor with van, and a bunch f trailers. if you look at the pic from the street there are 4 rows of trucks. the clambshell 5 ton is on one end and it was packed full of tools when he go it.
I saw at least...
I went to see my friend as he is into military vehicles about getting some pointers on buying a truck. So we looked around his "motor pool" and at some of his trucks. He is not a commercial seller of trucks but does trade, buy, sell and part stuff out.
These pics do NOT show all of his stuff...
What are the policies of the GL sites for drive offs of trucks or tow off of trailers? Will they let you drive off or toww off a trailer, is it site bt site rules?
Ditto the AC. As an equipment operator, just having a fan was nice. But having a cab with AC was great. One day I was running a 963 when one of the office big shots came buy and wanted to know why I had the cab closed. i told him I had the AC on, it was August in Chicago. He said to turn it off...
I will bet that the LED lights have multiple setting including IR. The IR will be better than a black out drive as no visable light, and help out with night vision devices as well.
I have several weapons lights that that multiple settings so going from low beam to high beam to IR should not...
So I’ve been watching some auctions and haven’t won one yet. But as I look into the bobbed project, I came up with a few more questions.
When guys “bob” a truck, do they leave the first rear axle in place, to use the prop shaft/ drive shaft without having to modify it, or do they push the...
