POLICE THEM MUSHTACH HAIRS!
Lucky guy it let go when it did.
Thanks for all the input guys,
I've got the truck all tore down. I'm sending the heads out to be resurfaced this week along with the injectors getting tested. When I turbo off I found fuel in it, quite a lot of fuel. That's a good sign my intake flame heater was leaking, which would also...
I would stay away from duel tires if you have the choice. Just for simplicity sake. Personally I found the singles to be better off road in almost all conditions. The Stock a2 tires in the mud, snow, and sand are just too narrow for the weight sitting on them, more so in the front.
It makes...
You must be careful when using a power bleeder, you can over pressurize the top end of the master cylinder and fold a seal over. You will then need to pull it and rebuild. I did it twice before I realized my mistake.
I just do it the old fashion way now.
Also you should add a remote...
Nice work!
I did a similar system for my truck, but I kept the box intact. I wanted to mount an easy electrical cut off switch. I fabed up some simple angles with redi rod.
Then used the CNC machine at work to cut out some cool hold downs. I laid a piece of rubber mat down under the...
It's pretty robust inside the winch, not many moving parts. Maybe the brass ring gear is roasted, that coupled with a sloppy bearing. Under load loses contact with the worm gear. Honestly I don't know what the **** is happening in there. There is also a couple key ways on the shaft that be...
Yes studs with nuts. Mine has studs threaded into the turbo flange and has a tack weld on the top of the flange to stop the stud from backing out. I have a busted stud there too. My plans is to drill it straight through then chase it with a tap after.
When your spirit is fatigued, look to the power of beer to guide your through these times of mechanical madness.
these pieces of metal and steel will not hold you hostage.
you are in control and will be victorious.
remove that manifold!
I think its par for the course, I'm right in the middle of a head gasket swap. I busted the same bolt on the turbo flange. I also busted 4 bolts up on the Air intake manifold, they were badly rusted.
I also broke a bolt under the radiator, also rusted badly.
So your doing well.........lol
My Home Depot Snorkel has lasted 4 years,
Unfortunately I'm going to be retiring it for a bendy straw and some bubble gum, I heard it gives the multi fuel 11.371 more Horse power at 5000 rpm.
I have the dyno data on my other computer.
Thanks for all the suggestions, all very helpful.
Gonna start tearing into her this weekend.
She needs it.
All the rubber Pipe couplers are cracked and a bit rotted. It's burping coolant bubbles from the base of the front head up near the fan, and I have an oil leak dripping from behind the...
