    1971 Kaiser M35A2 temp. problem

Mine has the same issue, I put a new thermostat in when I did the head gaskets. It will stay at 160 deg. and not move above or below. I saw it move only one time it reached 180-190 while I hauled my trailer and camping gear up through the mountain passes. My old thermostat would hover around...

    Oil on front wheels

A remote brake fluid reservoir is a must for these trucks. Most are transparent. It's essential, any leaking of the brake system can be spotted quickly. The kit is cheap and simple to install. A leaking brake cylinder is a priority repair. Gear oil has a much thicker texture and...

What did you do to your deuce this week?

Removed the doors and dropped the top for the weekend.

    New Style HEMTT Valvestems

Old thread but Does anyone know where I could purchase a few of these updated stems, I desperately need to extend my current valve stems on my HEMTT and MRAP rims. A larger diameter would be ideal.

    An American Deuce in Canada

I fabricated up some 10 foot ramps I stow the ATV in the bed of the deuce. With my tools, genset, spare tire, and 50 gallons of diesel.

    An American Deuce in Canada

It's an unforgiving beast, but she will perform reliably when required. It's a handful to drive. When you get to know its characteristics she is good to go. She completed a 540km trip this past weekend. 200 of which were logging road. Nothing too challenging, other than a quick jaunt...

1957 deuce engine swap, axle ratio change, lowering unit and extending cab

Where are you in Canada? I know of a local 1994 M35a3 for sale, it already has half the stuff you want to do to that truck.

    clutch disc variations ?

I swapped out my sprung style disc to the one pictured above. I concur with what is being said, the engagement is a lot "choppier" I notice it most while in reverse trying to maneuver the truck for parking. That being said the extra clutch puck on the new disc should provide more support. I...

LDS VS LDT and the real differences

Nice work on your truck Shawn, I just finished a pile of work to my engine and I am pulling very similar numbers. I have yet to see 16psi on the boost, I believe I've reached a mere 14psi. My EGT numbers are almost exactly what your getting under similar conditions. I will note that I...

    Kingpin Bushings

I didn't need to ream mine out, I gently tapped them into place. They installed with very little effort. Lucky one I guess

    An American Deuce in Canada

Thanks! It's been a lot of fun and much work. As for the lights, I have a strange mental issue with darkness. I'm not afraid of it, I view it as an enemy with an inherent evilness that accompanies darkness. Strange I know, but my Deuce will always be equipped to handle the darkest of nights...

    An American Deuce in Canada

So the truck is running great, tons of power for my liking. The air shift, and clutch feel good . Nice clean injectors, new filters, valve lash adjustment, FDC bypass, and new head gaskets. I don't think it can run any better, on top of that there is very little blow by, I think I have a...

    aftermarket m35A2 heater blower motor

I bought my blower motor from NAPA a couple years ago, I was told then that the stock was low and was not going to be replaced. I couldn't go to the Napa in Canada as they didn't carry the motor at all.

    Head stud issues

I used Loctite on my studs when I reinstalled them, no leaks.
