Do you have a write-up for using 24F batteries? Would like to see the cable mods and modified hold down.
24F AGM batteries are less than half the price of 6TL AGM.
Interesting that the PM article describes what we came up with here in this forum a while ago to just leave the valve "on."
Mine operate correctly but the bags look a little haggard so great info on replacements.
The rear axle is shared fluid with the rear hubs. I am going to try it the way Floridianson described on the drain and fill.
The front axle does NOT share fluid with the front hubs they are separate. TM describes the whole drain at 6 o'clock and fill/check at 4 I believe. only 11 oz for each...
Finished my swap to the new dryer. Windex check before I drove it and no leaks. Had to notch the universal bracket as described. The control, little fitting, is the one that has to be changed. I will post a pic of old vs New fitting tomorrow. Both supply and to tanks fittings fit as everyone has...
Oh snap! We have to plan a meet up. Haven't changed the belt yet on mine.
Interesting notes on today's run...
1 - gear whirling noise most of us have from the planetary gears is decreasing. Did it a bit when I first started out but became more infrequent as I drove. Changed out the gear oil...
Took mine out today for a test run in the heat. 50 mph and under my truck keeps itself just over 200 degrees after an interstate run. It was only around 82 this morning. Interstate driving near Wentzville, west of St Louis running 52 to 53mph fan would engage around 205/210 for maybe 20 seconds...
I swapped in Sylvania SilverStar H4 bulbs using the three prong ceramic H4 connectors and soldered on the military pigtails from the stock military lights. Works great!

I did the swap to CAT ELC coolant when I added my Gen2 AC unit...
Did 3 flush and fills after initial drain of the green stuff before I put in the red ELC coolant. Ran a couple of small bottles of flush thru on first drain/flush.
All drain and fills took just under 9 gallons as well as final...
Secret PM sent ;)
Just remember to check your trailer lights output on your truck! I didn't when I picked up a 1082 out of Ft Leonardwood and found out I only had a left blinker signal working.
That's a nice big jack you used. Looks like a 20ton? I purchased an 8 ton for my truck but now I am wondering if I would have issues dealing with a flat... I need to break it out and see what I would be dealing with after reading your post.
Thanks for the info!

Thank you sir! Just ordered one....
Do you remember the specs on the fitting that needed to be replaced? is it one of the 90 degree ones in the pic? specs 1/4"x?
Thanks again for your help.
Where did you find the DQ6051 universal bracket?... I keep searching online but coming up with nada.
Also, one other quick question what were the fitting specs for "size larger on the NTP fitting for the 1/4" control air line (napa had it in stock).?"
Thanks!

LOL, I took the EXACT same pic of that relocated air filter housing at the expo and thought the same thing... TERRABLE place for that! I took a ton of pics of the trucks that were there. Some great ideas and some not so much. They also put the hydro panel down by the passenger side front wheel...
Excellent pics on the recovery.
I purchased a full size torque wrench from Amazon (3/4 Inch Drive Click Style Torque Wrench - 100-600 ft-lbs) that comes with a case and oddly fits perfectly inside the empty cavity where the rear spreader bars go for when I need to change a tire. That torque...
