PB,
I was wondering who the first person to call me out on that would be. The Ga National Guard owns that truck so she is ineligible. I wouldn't have allowed it to get entered into the polls if it had gone un-noticed. I only get to hang out with her on Drill Weekend but I've done some...
LMTV's Again???
Let me add "Becka Tha Wrecka" Ferro approved of the name since he used it first. It's an M1089A1P2 LMTV and she's a hard working truck when she's not buried to the axles in my parent's front yard dragging Deuces and CUCV's out.
Never thought I'd say it. I thought Texas Members were going to jump in and beat me 2 months ago and I skated to Victory. I suppose you are in the clear camouj7 but the Goat that Mkcoen owns is a nice vehicle.
Puzzle piece is a symbol for Autism, Superman graphic inserted is to show the incredible strength to carry on with such a condition. I think it fits in consideration of my son Briggs.
I'm having a similar issue with a M1089A1P2 LTAS Cab Wrecker. It doesn't behave as your described all of the time but it does occasionally. The flashing odometer is due to drained batteries. We run into that issue quite often in the National Guard as the trucks are only run once a month most...
Does anyone have a photo and member name on the M915/M146 chassis mounted extended frame truck that was at the GA Rally last year? I'm thinking his screen name is AV8OR from Florida. I'd like to nominate that machine as I'm sure an untold amount of fabrication time went into that project.
Mike was just fussing. How a CUCV beat the GOAT still surprises me. I would have voted for him if I didn't have a truck in the running as his transformation is impressive. If it's any consolation, the CUCV did a Victory Lap after Winning last month, now it needs a new battery. It started fine...
I drive a M1089A1P2 occasionally. It's the new "Wrecker" variant on this line of trucks. While I never flat tow, I have done quite a few lift tows of fellow MTV variants. When towing a "5 Ton" dual rear axle variant (Current MTV's only), I leave the blue air hose unhooked as they do not...
I'm back home for a few days. I want to make good on my promise of sending out a framed photo of Briggs and his Truck. You've seen the picture but if you would like one to hang on your wall and you voted for me, send me your contact info so that I can mail it out!
Agree with both of you. Upon having Soldier B attempt to start truck, I'm reading 25.14 volts key off, 24.12 volts key on glowplugs warming, basically nothing when start is attempted. Batteries just died after sitting a few weeks. I wish I would have gotten some Hawkers when someone had them...
I've got some questions to an electrical guru. My M1028 will not start as the engine turns over very slowly.
Known.
1. Both batteries are good to the best of my knowledge. Both show an open circuit voltage while connected to the truck of 12.7 volts. I hooked my "smart" charger to them and...
I've towed a school bus out of the turn around at the end of my dirt road. How much do they weigh? Only pulled it maybe 200 feet. I normally use the Deuce for such functions but the wife went overkill and used the 923 to do the same thing so I was trying to prove that the M1028 could also do...
I almost quit putting my prized CUCV up for Vote because I thought it would get killed with the competition that was up for voting last month. Somehow, it won. I'll admit that I gave it some good props and I still have to get 33 framed pictures of it sent out. If you look through, it got...
Mike,
Thank You kindly. I try to be a Great Daddy but I Married well and have a Great Wife and she has way more patience than me alot of times. Autism isn't the end of the world, it just requires alot of patience. If you met me 5 years ago, you would have thought that I had none. I picked...
I'm not sure about the 97 model but I know the 12 model runs a computer for most everything but the door locks similar to everything else. They run a ¨Can Bus¨ system with computers to control most everything. In fact, I've probably got a computer issue on my wrecker. I had to hook to a HMMWV...
