    M35A3 - Opinions Wanted !

Thank you everyone for your input on this, after learning more about the A3 I don't want one .

    A2 low air pressure?

Sounds like you're compressor is no longer compressing, or that control valve isn't as good as it appears to be . Maybe the Rings are stuck, get a little bit of ATF or Marvel Mystery Oil down in there without hydraulicing it and see if you can get things to loosen up or if starts to make air...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I bought two pair of these led for 64 bucks (4 lights total) put them in my old pickups, work great . Before that I bought different looking ones and put them in my Deuce and 5 ton years ago, they still work great I would never go back, cheapest ones I could find, they're all made in China ...

New member here in Hawaii, soon to be back on the mainland

Welcome You live on Maui and you still have a house ? Reason I ask is because the news over here on the mainland shows pretty much the entire island of Maui burned to the ground, with the exception of Oprah and Bill Gates houses, they got saved through some miracle along with some other rich...

    M37 but not an M37?

Well if they are Dana axles and they still have the tag bolted to the cover it has a long number on it called the bom number that will give you detailed information from Dana and will break down every part in the axle including years used . If the tags are missing there's also the same number...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Having watched many of this individuals recovery videos it never ceases to amaze me the things that he does and remains in business, clearly there is a severe lack of competition, or he works for free . Holding the throttle to the floor while shifting the transmission from forward to reverse...

    Transport M35A2

Well, you just bought a 6x6, so what's the big deal, buy another one that's big enough to tow that one and when you get home they can hang out together and become friends and when you come outise in the morning you will have more choices . 😊 🇺🇸

    Transport M35A2

... "IF" you had a military tow bar, you could just pull it home with something capable, one of the better investments I've made personally .

    Must Have's for New Deuce?

Make sure your brakes work good . Possibly convert to disc ( pretty easy) which eliminates the wheel cylinders that are the major cause of brake failures . Make sure your E-brake/parking brake work properly as this will save your ass in the event of a hydraulic failure . I have seen videos on...

Piston pin fit. How tight is too tight.

Your pins should NEVER be tight in the piston, only the small end of the rod . If you have full floating pins they will be tight nowhere and held in by clips in the pistons .

    Can't prime fuel lines.

O The fuel tanks in my 5 ton have a drain on the bottom, pretty handy .

    Can't prime fuel lines.

How ? Even if there are things above the tank that prevent you from removing the tube out, dropping the entire tank is like a 30 min job tops with a beer break . Hopefully someone didn't run bio fuel in your truck and turn everything including the injector pump into an entire rusty gooey mess...

    Just bought a Deuce...

Have you taken delivery of the truck ? Does it have oil in the engine ? Is there water in the radiator ? Does it start and run and have good oil pressure ? Does it have brakes or at least the pedal doesn't go to the floor ? Asking for a friend ... ✌

    Can't prime fuel lines.

Process of elimination, start near the source . Undo the fuel outlet line at the top of the tank and see if it comes out there, then go from there . 40psi is way too much imo, I would say 10 psi would be more than enough provided the vents on top of the tank are plugged so that the added...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I realized it was MIA, remembered I left it on front bumper playing music, found it face down in the dirt with two large tire tracks over it still playing music 😃 Looked in my box of phone junk and realized I already had a new screen for it, pulled out my pocket knife and a small Phillips had...

    4L80E Code 22 and 73

While not an expert, if I walked out and discovered my trans wasn't talking to it's two main contributors (tps and pcs) I would check for grounding issues first, I find a simple and effective way to do that is to hook a test light to the + side of battery and get to probin' them grounds and go...
