I finally got around to installing a square receiver hitch paired with the military pintle hitch.
I plan to buy an XM381.com converter box because I'm too lazy and too short on time to build my own. Here's my modest dilemma:
I've already tapped into the rear section of the body harness for...
DLA is crushing everything. This is drying up supply, driving prices higher. If that ever gets reversed, prices may ease.
On one hand, I'm pleased that my modest investment is gaining in value. On the other hand, I'm bummed out because the DLA issue combined with general inflation will make...
Which engine do you have? If you open the coolant valves to the heater box and still don't have hot air, it most likely means that coolant crud is blocking the valves and/or their fittings. If both hoses going to the heater box aren't hot, then you don't have flow. The supply hose will be hot...
Some of our members (@simp5782 for example) have produced several helpful how-to videos for repairs and upgrades to our vehicles.
Could we perhaps create a "Video" thread or section in each sub-forum (Deuce/5-ton/HMMWV etc) to consolidate the Youtube and Vimeo video links that our members have...
Ok once again, down the rabbit hole we go. Below is a quote of the letter that I have sent to my own delegate as well as Delegate Hornberger who is sympathetic to our position. If you're in Maryland, I urge you to email your delegates and CC delegate Hornberger with a similar email.
I'm going to contact Delagate Hornberger again. This is the representative I was working with on the original bill to fix this problem.

Here's the thing: We don't really need or want a...
I made the annual winter pellet fuel pilgrimage today. The best deal was a little further away so I enjoyed a one hour round trip drive through the country side.
These shops always make me laugh.
"I'd like 2 tons of pellets please."
"You mean... all at once?"
"Yes please. "
"You mean...
I don't think they're are any new laws, this is just the MSP trying to legislate from their office.
I was trying to squash this when covid came along and gummed up the legislature.
Whew, good to know. I did my front axle last year and I was hyperventilating that maybe I assembled it incorrectly and I've been driving on it.
Thinking back, I believe that I removed, re-packed and replaced each bearing individually rather than pull them all apart in a bunch so this happy...
@INFChief Parttarget shows that you are correct- the only difference is the inside diameter. Wouldn't this be obvious when you attempt to put the wrong bearing as the "inner" bearing? It wouldn't go on all the way, correct?
Wow, I'll be dipped. I'm glad I kept my mouth shut, I thought for sure that inner and outer were the same.
And: This thread caused me to check the -20 for the M809 series trucks and I discovered the same thing. I will make darned sure to keep track of which is the inner/outer bearing when I...
