    California Road Legal Title Crack-Down

Blue tag is a California assigned vin, usually used on home built and/or kit cars or certain salvaged title vehicles. I have a pickup truck with a ca blue tag. They are also known as special construction vehicles. My registration on that truck lists it as SPCNS.

    Isuzu engine swap

I don't know a lot about them, but the isuzu diesels seem to be gaining in popularity with the 4bt swaps becoming more expensive and reasonable engines harder to find. The isuzu is supposed to be smoother operating engine and a good engine.

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I picked up a winch and hydraulic setup for mine, I plan on setting it up in the back of the truck if I can work it out I really don't like the front bumper sticking four feet forward. I also have an 18000 pound Warn that I want to make a mount for in the front.

Decision on a knuckle boom crane.

This one is off a m1084 MTV 5 ton, they look similar, according to my research it's about 3700 lbs.

Decision on a knuckle boom crane.

Even if it lifts the weight statically, the weight moving around, say by getting bumped becomes dynamic, I would think it a bit sketchy and if it lets go anything under it's getting crushed! At least the way I picture it trying to get the crane high enough to get over the truck which is pretty...

Decision on a knuckle boom crane.

I'd second keeping the 6x6, If you can change the weight rating I'd do that.

My M931A1 conversion to a dump truck

Truck looks great! I got a line on a winch kit with the hydraulics complete, I think I'll just upgrade the pump if necessary and step the pressure down for the winch and use full pressure for the crane and dump if I need to. Hopefully the stock setup will run it all with the proper valving.

double check you didn't miss a fastener, then carefully use a putty knife to cut the gasket between the block and pan. Tap the pan with a rubber mallet. when you pull the head it should be obvious where the coolant is getting through. Based on my past experience
