I think the diagrams in the parts manual should help you in this case, if you take the time to color each line and see what connects with what....
TM 9-2320-279-24P-1, Fig.193 Cab air lines and fittings
Looking at those brackets it seems like it only needs a simple Ø5/8" L-shaped pin to secure that leg in both positions? But sure enough you want the exact stock dims for it, to replicate one... Can't help you with that one, sorry. Because all of the ones I got - which had served as generator...
TM 9-2330-202-14&P, Fig. 12, Item 2: #12313048 (NSN 3040011495061) Shown at Part Target, here...
Yes, that one will work. At least what's called the "flange diameter" is exactly 2.715" (I just removed one cap on a M116A3 axle to confirm that dimension)

I would not consider a chain-driven transfer case to be an upgrade...
Not sure what your plan is but why not a Deuce T 136-27 airshift - which can easily be converted to engage the front output, mechanically ? It has the same ratios as the 205 (1:1 H/1.98:1 L) and yes, it is a lot heavier...
Not so easy... If you remove the CTIS valve you will have to do some plugging; drilling; tapping; etc - in order to install a valve stem in the wheel, itself.
(been there - done it)
Same happened to me, once - with a "condition unknown - ran when parked" 5-ton LDS. (Complete engine sitting in its crate; all accessories there and looking nice and clean... for $200, so I jumped on it...)
Short story: crankshaft was broken, right in between the front main journal and the 1st...
