I had a machine shop cut out the splines in my front axle caps today. I have a brand new pair on the truck now. I'll switch them out as needed, but I really don't expect to be in the mud much, if at all. These cut out caps should save me a little gas mileage and wear on the front axle.
So, after painting the interior of my cab, i've been polishing off some details. I've been trying to paint the lettering on the pull cables and light controls. For the record, I'm no artist (obvious) and I have a hard time keeping my hands steady enough to paint the tiny lettering. Does...
Does anyone else have gauges that fog up? My generator gauge and air pressure gauges get condensation inside the lense most time I drive it. They work fine and I can still read them, but it's annoying to see. Is there a fix that can help?

My 2 younglings (cadets) like riding with me in the Deuce. I added some seat belts today to keep everyone safer on our rides. Soldier B and soldier C, climb aboard!

I followed advice on some old threads here from brother SS members. :carnac:
Worked like a charm. Used epoxy to re-attach and then put a few rivets thru it for good measure...
I had the same. I cleaned them up real nice and put in new filters. Afterwards, decided to get the spin on. Got them on the shelf ready to install when the next change is due. I would have saved some time and energy if I just got the spin on from the start. You'll be glad you did it...
162tcat, I purchased them from Jantoka. Got matching seat covers as well. Heavy canvas and nicely sewn. I'm pleased with the quality and workmanship.

Well crap.... I just realized I posted my original data plate project on the wrong thread. Sorry for hijacking this conversation. Was meant for "What have you done to your Deuce lately".
Ajax MD,
I used a light polishing compound that I typically use to removed minor scratches and door dings on my cars. A polishing wheel on my drill and I buffed away. Had zero issues with removing color or lettering. I had a lot of Carc paint on my data plates from the army issue paint job...
