Have yall ever seen new air packs come pre oiled? I attempted to put 1.5oz of air tool oil in mine today & after less than .5oz it was coming out the fill hole. Didn't expect to see that.
Can anyone point me to the TM that says how much air tool oil to put in my new air pack? I been sitn here next to the truck screwing the pooch for an hour & I can't find anywhere that states how much. I know the IH manual linked a few post back says fill it till it runs out the hole I just wana...
I know there were issues w/fuel vapors contaminating the brake fluid & the vents were seperated. My truck still has the old setup where all the vents run together. I just added a remote brake fluid reservoir so that takes care of the master cylinder vent but the air pack & fuel tank are still on...
The part # for my new MC is 7539267 & it has the larg dia cap. I don't know the part # for the old MC I took off but it used the small dia cap & had the 2 extra ports on the sides pluged w/bolts & copper washers.

Is there a write-up on here anywhere on your air dryer install? I would love to read more about that. Sounds like a "most excellent" idea! Really seems like something that should have been on the truck from the factory.
Never hear of vacuum cylinder oil. Is that the same as vacuum pump oil? Most of what I've read says use air tool oil. Admittedly i haven't read the TMs yet.
