I thought about building the power bleeder but i have several willing volunteers to push the pedal so i nixed that idea. I really hope bleeding the brakes on this thing doesn't become a regular event
I got my truck w/absolutely no brakes whatsoever. Upon inspection i found the master cylinder dry & vent line broke off. I found no leaks so i filled the MC & every time i press the pedal fluid squirts out where the vent line is supposed to be. The inside of the MC looked crusty like it may...
If you disconnect the vent that is part of the fording system & mount the new reservoir say on the firewall just above the fender wouldn't water get in your brake fluid if things got deep?
Is there anywhere I can buy TMs for the deuce in print? My Internet access is limited to my phone because I don't own a computer & downloading & reading all this stuff on such a small screen is becoming a real pain. I'd much rather just buy books if thats an option.
Ahh...ok. I was hoping this was the case. I am pretty stoked about being able to use waste oil as a fuel source as i pretty much have an unlimited supply. (Lots of friends/family in work in auto shops) The sticker is very confusing, it clearly says in big letters right at the top USE DIESEL...
On the side of one of my oil filter cans there is a big yellow sticker that says "USE DIESEL FUEL ONLY" "fuel injection pump compensator bypassed......"
I would assume this means my engine is no longer multi fuel? I am confused though because they guy i got the truck from says whats in the tank...
So, rustystuds comment on the HF earthquake xt impacts got me to looking at em online & alot of people have good things to say. The 3/4 pneumatic claims 1500ft lb & the 1/2 20 volt battery claims 1200. Does anybody here have 1st hand experience with either?
That Earthquake 3/4in impact that Rustystud mentioned sounds like a reasonable option. I'm going to have to check that out. I'd like to have one of them 24v guns that uses the slave cable but the 1 place i saw the listed for sale was 500 some odd dollars.
I just looked up the lug nut torque spec for the Isuzu NPR & it's 369ft lb. It uses the same 1.5in lug nuts & square drive stids like the deuce. Is it safe to assume the deuce lug nuts would use the same torque?
I drove her for the 1st time today:grin: Man what a truck! The steering is sloppy as **** and the gears are 3ft apart but i think i like it. Still no brakes but i was just driving around in circles in a field. It gets towed home tomorrow & the fun begins.
Good enough for me, 6x6s it is. I have all basic hand tools up to 1 1/4in & a good 1/2in impact. If theres anything else yall deem necessary or just things to make life easier id love to hear about it.
