    New project

Well you definitely need the purple to control start at the key unless you want to bypass to start from out side with remote start. Find purple in harness starter side of engine compartment. What ever you do not overload circuit, keep starter cables loose to pull off in panic. Have gloves, do...

    New project

The starter relay under dash by the diagnostic plug may be sticking. Or depending on what prior owner has done to the steering column the starter pushrod that runs on the down side outside column to the push relay on column may be wedged in the start position. Kind of confusing but the key...

    New project

Is the purple wire hooked up to starter solenoid or have you checked CUCV wire diagram in the TM's? I posted the CUCV wiring diagrams to help look at the wires to the starter and glow plug systems to help get started. Takes out some confusion. Thank uncle sam

    New project

Let me understand. You hooked up battery cables and everything ok? Then you used key to start and you clicked on key without engaging starter and the starter began engaging?

    6.5 GEP NA or 5.9 12v NA?

erasedhammer, honestly I like your idea. I believe that if you look around, maybe you tried already, do a search for the 5.9 you may find some good intel on Steel Soldiers. I have watched guy's at work do amazing things with the 5.9, but in Dodge Trucks, I surmise, to spend more time and bucks...

    6.5 GEP NA or 5.9 12v NA?

Well it seems that in your quest for simplicity economics are not a factor, but that is one of your requests. Almost anything is possible with cash behind the endgame. The CUCV is a simple economical truck to start with. So why make it complicated? An 80hp at the rear wheels, na diesel for...

Thoughts on the onslaught of State Laws that Pull us of the road

One of the problems is they see green or camouflage and the freakout begins. If you paint it pretty rainbow colors or it looks like construction equipment, which people hate but not as bad then it is ok. I still believe that we live in a free country, a Republic. Precedent should apply as the...

    6.5 GEP NA or 5.9 12v NA?

I would 6.5 the truck and keep it as simple as you can, cost. Take the 800 and freshen up some components. To neuter a 5.9 when already not impressive when stock, is a step back in the power category. Put some cash into the 5.9 in a rebuild and find a Dodge to put it in. A tired 400k motor...

    Correct Rifle

Thanks frank for posting the ozatwar site. Very interesting reading about early WW2 American Service Personnel serving in the pacific theatre, Austrailia. Still reading 10 hours later. Very BRAVE Men and Women where surviving is a daily event. Thanks Austrailia@War

I wonder if you could spacer the rears again for duals in the 11.00x18's? Very Tough:shock:

CUCV Wiring Diagram color (except M1010)

With a lot of electrical problems being asked about CUCV's lately or almost daily, I thought that maybe I would repost this thread with the colored wiring diagrams attached. I myself use the TM's for all MV's to help with something that I may have to find. The TM's are here to use, they are...

    Just complaining about GP

It is hard to be patient when you can not wait for item to arrive.:tank: The staff has more little details to work on and when a set of paperwork has a glitch the paper has to be handled again. And I will add that the process may be faster now since there are computers to assist. I keep...

    M37 engine swap

Welcome, what year is your favorite Ride? Do you have a running engine now and would want to work on it. Driving or using more will get rid of most problems after things like fuel system is addressed. Or powerplant swap? 230 cubic inch, how about a 250 Canadian engine? You say fuel mileage...

    Just complaining about GP

Have to wonder what is the reason now. With all the auctions that they have there is probably no segregated process for completion, no matter if it is military, construction, state, private, no matter to the office staff, one office. Take a number and wait. Remember the first word --- planet...

    Oil Cooler Aluminum Line Leak

Any where I see a place that will chafe wires, hoses, anything that will cause problems later I will use rubber hose of the offending size and cut lengthways and place. Clamps, grommets, plastic flextube all can be used to prevent chafing. The long unsupported aluminum tubes in front of...
