As always, I'm sorry to see it over since I had so much fun. Thanks again to Tim and Ms Pam for being excellent hosts!
I counted 16 MV's if you include Mkcoen and TexAndy stopping by with their Gama Goat, and a number of members and guests stopped by without MVs.
I've got some more stuff I need to move. For the generators, let me know if you're interested so I can make sure they are running before I bring them down on Friday.
Singletree/Whiffletree that allows a wrecker hook to attach to the top of a truck's bumper. $65
Axle clamps have...
I've got some stuff to sell or trade, especially if you need some wrecker BII. If you're interested, let me know by Thursday so I can load it on the truck as I'll be leaving early Fri AM.
NOS medium tow bars still in the crate complete set with 1" feet, 3/4" feet and axle clamps for...
Last museum shot is the Huey giving rides.
The last set is Fuzzytoaster's HEMTT running through the pit. My battery died so I didn't get the other rigs running it.
Everyone is wondering if it will make it.
But the outcome is already show in the earlier posts.
Then my battery...
Now come the tracks! The first is my favorite, composition-wise. The second one is the rear view of the last vehicle in the above post. I believe most or all of these are running.
The following photos are of the vehicles at the museum, many are privately owned. For some reason the ambulance photos didn't come out. There were a pile of jeeps! This event was also billed as the largest WWII re-enactment in the south, so you'll see some folks in period outfits.
These are some photos of the police-escorted convoy to the Museum of the American GI.
And lined up at the front of the museum (two more trucks showed up later).
Finally got my camera to talk to my computer so I could download the photos. I got a bunch! First batches are of the rally vehicles and convoy to the museum. Later, I'll add the museum stuff.
I drove my M1031 and M101A1 trailer about 160 miles to Jeepsinker's place, where I picked up...

Looks like a wheel may have come off at speed. Prayers for their speedy recovery.
Please be careful out there, remember our MVs are not new...
I think the simplest solution is I just need a pair of the newer Chevy rims to put on the M101A2 so all the wheels and spares will be interchangeable. The van wheels fit the trailer just fine.
Searching for the center bore diameter, this site says the 1997-2008 Express van has 8x165.1mm...
I tried to mount some wheels from a M101A2 onto my 2001 Chev flight line van and ran into a problem. When the lugs were tightened on the front wheels, they never really hit bottom, but just got progressively harder to tighten. Turns out the wheel was sliding too far back on the hub and binding...
I think you have Steel Soldiers confused with MVPA. While there are many here who wish to preserve unique representative models, there are also a lot of members with modified MVs. Everyone is welcome here.
While I was sorry to see such a nice mechanic box get tossed, shipping would be...
Glad you finally got everything home safely. As the old saying goes, "If it weren't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all!" Murphy must have a condo in Memphis.
Glad you made it home safely. No idea on the runaway unless the accelerator linkage system is sticking or the throttle return spring is not contracting as it should when you let off during shifting.
