I thought before I spent $400 to replace the distributor, I'd give it some TLC. I replaced the points and condenser, and as you can see it was due. The point gap was 0.08, the point gap was supposed to be 0.20. Gave the mechanical advance mechanism a little silicone spray, and that freed it up...
