    1941 K18-C GMC Recovered today

I cannot believe how straight that thing is let alone how solid. Somebody thinks about cutting a hole in the side and I will be taking a road trip with bat in hand!!!!! It is just to fugly to cut.

    M-1008 Plowing (Vid)

We run Western 8' Pro plows on several CUCV's and the mount comes complete and ready to bolt on. They do not weld on. Remember that this truck is the same as a one ton Chevy pick up so you just order the plow for that year truck. Sometimes the braces for the D rings will be in the way, you can...

    M-1008 Plowing (Vid)

If you are going to make a video of yourself plowing or doing anything really be sure you know how to do it correctly first. I have run plows for over 40 years and run everything from mower plows up to Oshkosh and FWD plows and blowers. You have a lot to learn and plowing and the way you are...

    noobie having electrical/starting issues.

Agree with the battery connection. One of the main cables is loose or dirty. The fact that you have nothing at all afterwards I would check the connections closely on the front battery. I believe that is the one that feeds the truck lighting and operating systems, it has been a while since I...

    Choosing Between M923A1 and M923A2

The A2 will have CTIS which can be very unreliable and expensive to repair.

    Carburetor filling with gas-M882

Fram, Purolator, Wix. Could use a metal one but the clear plastics ones you can see what is in them. That way you will know what is coming through the line.

    Carburetor filling with gas-M882

I would tend to agree, bad fuel pump. Replace the pump and put a quality, brand name filter between the pump and the carb. You will have to pull the top off of the carb and rinse out the trash that has gotten in there. Also look closely at the gasket you say is leaking on the carb, it should...

    Allison M916 + Mk48 Cab = 6x6 "FEMTT"

I was going to say the same thing, T-Shirts!!!!!! I am here freezing my gonads off and he is posting pic's of people in T-shirts. But you know what guy's, Soni built that thing in weather cold enough to keep most of us cooped up indoors all winter so he deserves the warm weather. I'll...

Won a civilian welder this week from a VA VDOT auction. Lincoln 250 AC/DC

The older they are the better they are. The old units used very heavy windings and practically never go bad other than the power cord which is an easy fix.

Stop leak in m1009 transfer case?

I love step #3. If I am going to disassemble it I am going to replace the seals anyway, not just check them.

Stop leak in m1009 transfer case?

Stop leak will swell up ALL of the seals including the ones that are not leaking and then 6 months down the road they will all degrade and you will have leaks in places you did not even know you had seals. The best thing to do is drop the case and reseal the whole thing. Done and done and you do...

    Welded Diffs and Lockers

If the front axle is disengaged then what good is it doing you when you are stuck in the mud? I would much rather have an open differential driving both wheels in the mud and snow than I would have only one wheel available and have to deal with all the other associated issues.

    Welded Diffs and Lockers

I would think that a welded diff in the front of a deuce, when engaged off road would be undrivable. It would not steer. This is not a 2,000 lb. Jeep you are talking about here. And I already know what your next question will be, "well what if I only engage one side?" That would be fine until...

Yup, when it knocks your camera down that is a Detroit locker slip/lock.

    Welded Diffs and Lockers

I think a lot of you guys really need to learn how differentials work. The key word here is the name, DIFFERENTIAL! An open rear splits the torque evenly between the two wheels up to the point where one wheel loses traction and at that point all of the torque goes to the wheel with the least...

    R.I.P.--TOPTIGER--Geoffrey Webster

Here are the arrangements that were provided me by his sister. First, on behalf of the family, let me express how touched we have been at the kind and thoughtful words, memories, and stories you have sent about my brother. I don't know how to convey how comforting and wonderful all the...

    R.I.P.--TOPTIGER--Geoffrey Webster

I doubt that a lot of you would know Top since he did not post on here a lot and he was more into M-151's and modell aircraft than he was trucks. I did a search for him on here and did see that he posted here but I did not check every one to see what forums. Geoffrey "GR" Webster, AKA Toptiger...

    R.I.P.--TOPTIGER--Geoffrey Webster

We have lost another member here and on a couple of the M-151 forums. Toptiger May he rest in peace. He passed away from cancer at home in France with his family at his side at 3:00 pm our time this afternoon. Rick
