It doesn't need a skid plate. It is probably designed to un-latch automatically when something solid strikes it. No real threat to the owner, plus if it survives, someone gets 5 gals of free diesel. Win/win!

Could you make an angled view, from the front? I'm trying to grasp the dimensions. Seems it would be more or less square. Sort of cool, the SmartVee.

I'm trying to understand how these valves function. When excessive flow causes the valve to close, does it reopen once the brake pedal is released, or is there a manual reset? Is it possible for the valve to fail in such a way that it closes and prevents the use of your brakes? Please excuse my...

Does your truck have the bumperettes and pintle hitch? Seems to me that if you mounted it where those would normally be, it would sit more flush (beneath the bed more) and allow the tailgate to lower. What is your plan for brake lights? The bumper looks good, IMHO. Edit: sorry, missed the part...

Yes, the one I have is a JBL Charge 5. About the size of a football. Mine came from Wally World, around $130.

That is really cool.

I like my JBL amplified bluetooth speaker. Has good sound and gets loud enough to hear in my Deuce. They make lots of different sizes. Not sure about the "military" aspect but I suppose you could paint it. Just a thought, FWIW.
