With your truck weighting !8,400 empty you may be able to register it for 26,000 or under and not need a class B . depending on your state . I had one of my trucks that weighted 14,000 registered for 16,000 and the GVW was 32,000 .
I would guess the generator set to far back on the trailer because of the fenders on trailer won't let the duels roll any farther ahead and the weight worked the hitch off of the ball on the truck from the constant up ward pressure ?
I have some shoes that came of my parts trucks that will work for your truck .I will have to check in the shed but you can have them if you want them . kenny
I already PM AMGENERAL and herd back from him . His video and pictures of his cab swamp really helped with my decision on what engine to go with if I find the right parts it a bolt in fit .
I have commercial on my deuce and 5 ton for the weight .I used to have Allstate and then they put a 10,000 pound limit on them . so I had to change .I would talk to the company because you are right . 10,000 pounds may be a new limit they go by . years ago I never remember seeing a weight limit...
I have looked at replacing my LDS with a ENDT 675 mack engine in my m52a2.I will start collecting parts . I bought a bell housing and I'm looking for a flywheel .I even thought of having the ENDT 675 fly wheel machined to fit from SAE#1 TO SAE#2 . I don't know if mack ever made a SAE#2 clutch...
can you mount a carrier bearing . you may be able to make the first shaft the right length so that you could reuse your old drive line or get it cut down .talk to your drive line shop you don't want any problems .
If you do get a CDL you will have to remember to keep physical card with you and renew it every 2 years . the CDL is only good with it even if you are driving a smaller vehicle .
I have not bought a engine yet . I would like to keep the mack 5 speed still on the engine I looked at but there is not enough room in my truck the mack transmission and clutch is to wide and to long. I want to try to use original rear mounts that are in the truck so I need to find a bell...
I looked at a mack ENDT 673 engine today to replace the LDS in my m52a2 . I'm working on Finding a bell housing and a fly wheel If any one has one of these let me know ? also will I have to move the rear mounts in the frame ?
