I dealt with one in PA and it certainly was WAY EASIER, but I didn't know they had them down here in AZ. I'll try to see if there are any available in my area.
I think I found enough supporting legislation on that website that will help me avoid them, but we shall see since it will be based on "vehicles designed and maintained for commercial purposes". I'll update after I go to deal with them again.
Well, sorry for bringing back a dead thread, but I thought I'd share my dealings with ADOT today. Took the truck in today to get it registered. First they told me that the ADOT Policy 14.1.3 mentioned above is old and no longer valid even though I brought it in with me, and then they told me...
Got the last tire mounted and spare in the bed, now I can rest until I get new o-rings in to finish up the rest.
This is the torque multiplier I've been using;
24/13 teeth give it a 1.84:1 ratio and with handle being 24in long that means I'd only need to apply 135 pounds at the handle to reach...
Used my last o-ring to fix the last tire last night, not including the soon to be spare tire. I'll change out the tire this mornin after I eat. Still haven't figured out the gearing on the torque multiplier yet, I'll do that when I pull it out to do the tire swap. I still haven't checked any of...
Right now I'm trying to figure out the math to decide on the tubing sizes I want to use for the ISO mounting frame. Once I figure that out I may start drawing up the frame and half-track setup at the same time in SketchUp.
Found a Red Dot A/C unit that I like, R-9750-9-24P should fit over head nicely I think. I might opt for a more conventional RV unit for the camper part though, depending on my overall height when I finish the build.
Technically speaking it was just the age of the vehicle and the fact that they prone to crack at the fuel fitting flare at the tank. The fuel tank got hit by the forklift yes, but that was on the bottom and any damage there was on the fuel line wasn't near where it cracked. Now my wet tank mount...
Fuel line left the truck stranded for a couple days while patched up a repair till I can replace it with J844 line. Fixed the fuel gauge, just a sink instead of a float. Still finishing the tires, working on the last one that I have an o-ring for right now. Still have a fan clutch rebuild to do...
There is no way I would purchase tracks, if I have any for the truck I'll make them myself. They may be super heavy but that's why I bought a 5t instead of something smaller. As far as the interaction between the tracks and lockers...in theory there shouldn't be any problems since they...
Forgot to mention that lockers are on my list, but these will most likely be cheaper and I feel as though these would have a better chance of getting through the worst of possible places vs just having lockers alone. As long as wheel location stays the same relative to each other during...
