I gotta go and do the the monthly line points and more of the PMCS, I'll try to look at mine and see if there is any room for the suggested "slam". Not my cup o tea, but I'm still curious.
Ok, just like everyone else trucks...mine needs some love in the paint Dept. I've seen some cool videos where people have used PlastiDip to paint their vehicles to protect them from the elements. I don't remember what it was here that posted it, but it seems to be pretty true that vehicles at...
SLO? You have more than one? Any chance you can check to see how thick the main piece is? Think mine is 1/4", could be wrong but it looks like it's just a little thinner than the 5/16 thick chassis.
That's esetntially what I was thinkin of doing if I really wanted the CTIS on it.
Hadn't thought of that, but shouldn't be too hard to accomplish
I am already plannin on doin an Arduino type setup between the CTIS control head and the pressure sensors that read the tire pressure, that way I...
I was hoping that was not the rim he was referring to.
Well I guess if they're rated for that much it'll do me just fine, not sure what Toby's intended weight will be, but I'm guess mine will be close to 35k in the rear. Only real downfall to using the smaller tires will be my reduced speed on...
I was so set on the A2 for the CTIS and supersingles, but now I'm considering doing duals on the back. If I can find a way to make the CTIS still work with that then that would be awesome.
Is there steel rims we can use? I don't particularly care for using Alum rims on something I have heavily loaded. This definitely opens up some options for me. I like the SuperSingles but I doubt that I'll like them as much with a fully fitted container house on the back of the truck.
Yup, what /\ he said. Just keep in mind that if you have a bunch of stuff powered up in the container that you'll need a 30/50A cable to power it, the standard extension cords are only rated for about 15A.
I know your heart is set on the M934A2, but why not consider what I'm doing with mine? It will leave you much more flexible, in terms of truck setup lol git yer mind outta the gutter! It could even allow to to use it for money work as well if ya ever needed to.
That's what I was thinkin too Ahab, no "wow" factor now lol
for you guys with the MRAP bumpers, how thick are they?? I really don't want thin down my front bumper at all since it's useful for "bowling for trees" lol makes my chainsaw work a lot easier too lol
I though those rims were the splits simp? Obviously not as I can see a ton of rim studs. Are the 12r20s available "new" like the 395s are? That may be something for me to consider since I'll have the 20' ISO container at nearly max height, so this may end up helping with stability if I feel I...
If you are concerned with the hose comin off again there's a trick I use, I grab a centerpunch, or a tapered flat punch, and use just a few taps on the metal line. Doesn't need much, just a small bit of a lip so that when you crank on the hose clamp the rubber will catch that lip instead of...
Now that I finished up editing my vehicle maintenance charts to include the inspections and maintenance for the new truck, I went about starting a major PMCS on mine. Of course that was after I loaded up the truck with more trees I had cut down a few months ago. Took a ton of pics so that I...
