Either way, I'm sure that hold enough weight to smooth the front suspension ride. Be really nice if I could mount another spare tire up there permanently, but headlights would be the problem.

Once I get the front chassis extended I really need to find some of those tool boxes you have red. I definitely need more room for tools and I don't really want to put them aft of the cab at all, that is reserved for other things, like fuel tanks, generators, and general storage.

That's not a bad idea! I can do that with my spare, if it makes a noticeable difference I can figure out something more permanent.

This is true, on both accounts. I was part of the 101st and we almost always had priority to get parts and tools and equipment. When we were on combat duty it was even worse. We could joke around that we needed a some strippers for morale and they would send them out without even asking...

I'll get one, but I think that I'm going to mount it in the back of the cab that way it can also capture my speed (I use a GPS speedo on my phone) in the event there is ever an argument about how fast I was going, or lack of speed lol
