I don't see any reason why you couldn't do that, just get ya some 2x2 stock and some 1/2" plate and it should hold it for hunting most big game, I don't think I'd try elk or bear on it but it should handle most everything else.
I didn't get one last season, but my neighbor did and he ended up...
lol I would be crazy enough to try it, but there are too many trees around here for them to hide fast. Longest shot around here is usually 30-40yds. Gotta be on top of your game to lure them in lol
It will be close to 20k#, I weighed my truck before I bought the bed from Jeff and mine was just under 20k#. I would only expect a couple hundred extra pounds more as long as it has the 6CTA8.3, but the NHC250 weighs more as well.
Lol no, you misunderstood what I was saying. I'm gettin the 20' ISO container, but I'll have 10-12 of it in front of the rear tandem center. I'll be cutting it mighty close since I was told the chassis is 17' forward of that point. I'm hoping that 10-12' will be enough to keep the trailer from...
I hope to have pictures of deer, antelope, and javelina hangin from mine this season. I'd love to get some coyote, fox, bobcat, and mountain lion too, but those will be for fur trading not food.
I like the idea of mounting another pipe on the front bumper, but I may wait until I get the front...
Got a message from the seller this mornin, I guess the chassis has most of the brake system still intact. That'll save me a headache at least. Red, think the chassis length will be enough for what I want to do? I'm not concerned about the lack of chassis on the back of the bogey since I have to...
OK....in other words "yer better off adapting to it"
Obviously it's possible, but is it worth my time? Probably not. If anything is left on the chassis I'll probably just try to make it work with what I already have. If nothing is left then I may consider actually converting it to air. Right...
Assuming there is nothing in the way of braking, how hard would it be to convert those axles to the air brake style that I have? I'm not sure what is still on the chassis, but I'll assume that there is nothing at all.
Looks good! I'm jealous! I want a winch so bad I can taste it! Of course I have to deal with getting the chassis extensions first. I want the tool boxes too, I just don't have enough room for tools right now on my truck.
Did they change the axles between the M51 and the M939 series trucks? I have a line on an older truck chassis and want to be sure that I can swap tires and wheels between all the axles. This chassis would be the trailer frame for my woodworking workshop ISO container. Of course because of our...
I noticed the air line to the cylinder but wasn't 100% sure it was air over, that's good news then for me. That will help me load the Harley in the truck again if I ever need to for some odd reason.
I'm diggin that idea, if I find that multiple mounting locations would suit me best then I'll probably change to that, but for now I'll stick with what I have.
