How much did those MRAP seats set you back?

AM General M934 How difficult is it to find repairs & how much will they set me back?

No matter which version of 5ton you look at the mileage and hours can really play a big part in how much u expected maintenance you'll have. I bought with fairly low numbers, lower than I had found on GL, and it has done me good. Some of my repairs are because of the rough roads I live and drive...

    A2 5ton door rod?

Ok, thanks. I'll look up the PNs again and do a search then. I'm tired of opening the doors and having to readjust my mirrors every time.

    A2 5ton door rod?

Ok, so is there one that is hard mounted to the door? I tugged on the eyelet looking thing but it didn't move, granted I didn't pull hard I just assumed that it was really stiff and went into the door. Does the rod actually move into the vent area when the door is closed then?

    M934a2 bhtrv

Yup, I'm aiming to be comfortable it in for a few years while I travel. I most likely won't take it off until I find my new home. Not sure where it will be or when, when I decide I'm done traveling I think back to where I loved it the most, people and geography considered, and go back there most...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Thanks, I'll take a look around for it. Not a big fan of it being on the rear wall because of potential access to the RV part when it is built. We still get rain out in the desert, it just isn't as much as the rest of the country, or as much as I'd like sometimes lol. I wouldn't drill the...

    A2 5ton door rod?

Im trying to find what used the door in place and prevent it from hitting the mirror. I found Fig 362 in TM 9-2320-272-24P-2, looks like it's possible that item #27 is the rod in the picture, but it doesn't show anything for the chassis side. If anyone can take a pic of of this area on theirs...

Suggestions on what to do with NOS cab paint peel

Most experience I have with CARC is the touch up kits we had in the military, but if were me in your shoes I'd just blast the entire cab to ensure there was no rust at all and then primer it with your choice of base. I'd certainly be interested to see how your cab turned out with the Linex on it...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Can that A/C be mounted anywhere...such as on the roof? I still have the bench seat in mine so I'm limited in where I can put it.

    Free Fuel? Yeah! Free.

FUEL FLOAT - Do as I say, NOT as I do

Had to cut a new gasket out of some 1/8" clear PVC vinyl I had laying around from an old project years ago since the old one was trashed, but I did get the sender cleaned up best I could and reinstalled it. At least now it reads a little over 1/2 tank instead perpetually on E. I do need to...

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

I'm just happy I finally fixed my fuel gauge. At least now my garage says a little over 1/2 tank instead of perpetually on E.
