Tire options and where to buy

Exactly! I use a set of indoor stored 2012 tires off rim as steers and on rim outside 2010-16 as my drives

Tire options and where to buy

I have an entire thread on getting lmtv wheels to work on a 5 ton with ctis working. Including taping the valve stems for cores on both sides.

Tire options and where to buy

Ken at the MV parts store is a great guy. Still think the MT/T is the nicest miltary tire they make.

Tire options and where to buy

If your really good and patient you can get $150 a tire with wheel. Likely more around $300 with wheel average good price. Ken Spencer on the m939 facebook fourms is a good source.

Not sure why they blow out but they do. They seem to have the same or Extreamly similar load ratings

Definitely the mv/t. Rides smooth and does good on road wear and mud. Michelins blow out.

Tire options and where to buy

Never seen them. Also a 395 is about the biggest tire I would want to change on the side of the road by myself. My m932a2 on 395s goes about 68-72mph top speed with governor adjustment. Not too bad on the highway and dont lose power. If going to turn up the engine in the future 16.00 are going...

What have you done to your MTVR today?

Just creates more scouring through eBay and Facebook and makes you look harder.

    Hmmwv reliability

I can attest for simp's knowledge. He took a stock m923 swapped the trans cause it failed to a 7155 cat trans then needed more power after driving thousands of miles and swapped the engine. Needed lighter bed sides and more fuel so put 2 hemtt fuel tanks on it and a mtvr bed on it. Upgraded the...

What have you done to your FMTV or LMTV today

@wheelspinner may have a tan cover he would trade

What have you done to your 5 ton this week?

Nope that is definitely an 8.3. Same exact as in my m932a2.

    M939 series truck N14 swap

Personally from what I have heard is run 16.00s on a m920a0e1 (m920 but had a 7 speed automatic Alison). Easy to drive and lots of power and payload.

    M939 series truck N14 swap

@simp5782 may have a few for sale. The m915 is the 6x4 version of the m916 sits taller and has 6x6. The m920 is a longer version of the m916 with a drop axle. There are may diferebt types of each truck available such as a1 a0 a2 a3 a4r2 ext. A dealer will be much more expensive than an individual.

CTIS over speed lamp lights up

Can you point me in the direction for a more in detail forum on how to change settings on a m939a2 ctis unit?

    M939 series truck N14 swap

I personally wouldn't if you don't need to. Seems like a lot of hassle and tire wear for minimal results.
