Hey guys I’m picking up a M936A1 wrecker for pulling engines and moving stuff personally and was wondering if I put not for hire plates on it I could register it as a collectors/personal used vehicle and drive it without a CDL if I can in NC would that also apply in other states if I had to...
I don’t know what the difference between the M998 and M1123 and any other models that would matter I’m looking to do a 12V Cummins swap with a NV4500 manual with manual transfer case probably a NP241DHD with a mild power increase probably bring it up to 350-500 I’m at 750 in my pickup but I want...
Looking for my options here in NC for insuring a M936A2 wrecker I’ve got a Class A non-Commercial drivers license and picked the M936A2 up for pulling parts for my personal vehicles from the scrap yard and towing them back to my house or use for working on heavy stuff at my house but can’t seem...
If not would they really damage the pumps on the 855 big cam motors since I mix used motor oil in my 12V P-pump ram some times and I haven’t had any problems
Do they make any filter that are small enough to filter them out? Since I’ve got a few shops I’m friends with that told me I could have their used oil and filling the truck for free(except filters) sounds great as long as I don’t tear up the pump
is anyone running a M920 with a multi fuel filter setup stepping down in microns each filter and just dumping unfiltered used motor oil in the truck and running it, if you are how often do you go through filters, and if you had any issues with the injection pump? Also, do you mix it with some...
Ah yeah I definitely don’t want that then lol didn’t realize they were over width thanks. That’s probably why the guy locally here only wants 1k for his truck lol also the Detroit is water locked
Al
Also would a M911 be another viable option there a lot more of those in my area that I’ve found although that one dose have a Detroit not a Cummins saddy
also do any of you guys suggest a specific dealer or individual to buy from ive been looking at some of the trucks from Adelmans truck parts their all oil field trucks and prices really well, but I’d you think I should look somewhere else let me know @simp5782 @DeMilitarized @rd3war
I’ll have to look into one when since I love the look of that build are those the 53” tires on yours? Also are there any differences I need to be aware of between the M916 and M920 trucks or any other models In their series
So it’s 8WD the middle axle isn’t a drop axle? I think I’ll defiantly have to go that way, also do they have CTIS? And if so are they reliable or are they like the 900 and 800 series trucks
