    Simp's M915A1 Build Thread

Everything looks like it is doing what it needs to be doing, x heads aren't jumping around, everything looks like it is moving as it should. In the first vid it sounded like an intermittent tick, that's why a crimp came to mind. Any h2O in the oil? Next step would be drop the pan and look up the...

    Simp's M915A1 Build Thread

Well, if there is fuel there, not a crimp. Water or coolant being pumped out a cylinder usually cleans the port, kinda acts like a cleaning agent. Have you pulled the lid and brake yet? Could have an issue with the brake adjuster, cross head or it's adjuster, something left loose or a bent PT...

    Simp's M915A1 Build Thread

Maybe a broken crimp on an injector. Sounds like more toward the top in the first video, but next to impossible to tell if not there. No pressure out the blow-by tube or oil filler?

    Tesla Jump Start Box - TI2500 GPU-24

I actually thought this was a "funny" and was expecting a joke. But, out this way, we have an overwhelming amount of the "eco friendly, green" Elon cars. AAA actually has "Emergency Roadside Assistance" for not just the Lala's but all of the leftist leaning electric pieces of junk. It is a van...

    The next Project an ASMH

Nope, took a bit of a break due to some swollen discs. Decided to go to the dez with the grand daughters, try out the new to me trailer and watch the oldest girl try a motorcycle!

    The next Project an ASMH

I got ot. Just had to loosen/remove the front bolt and things came apart. Belts went on easy, notes are in the books so if it ever needs things again, it is documented. Still had to drop the generator to get the belts on though, so the numbers in the spread sheet are incorrect.

    Deuce Fan mod/ upgrade

KW W900 with a 15l 550 hp Cummins in it. Fans are overdriven so are spinning 1.5 or so faster than the engine.

    2023 SoCal Fall Rally

    M62 Master Cylinder

Yeah, I got it figured out. M/C is rebuilt and in. Started bleeding things and then I did something that will require a few days off......my fault.

    Any modified parking brake

I think the cable length os different based on the type of handle it is. Squeeze type handle or the kind with the adjustment knob on the handle

    The next Project an ASMH

My trip, the same weekend was 104....saw 100 in the trailer, rode 300 miles in 3 1/2 days. Time for some maintenance! Moved onto hydraulics today. Had someone come out, measure and give us a price to do all of the lines from the tank out. Keep in mind, never been around one of these, but...

    engine machine shop in SoCal?

Are you sure the gauge isn't incorrect? Install a known good mechanical or Fluke pressure transducer and compare the dash to a master gauge. Remember, you have a dinosaur, it might be hard to find someone, but, try United Diesel in So. El Monte.

    1984 6.2 Oil

I have seen at least 3 fleets get dozens of engines wiped out by Wix and Baldwin. Their, the filter manufacturers, response was, oops! No help with the destroyed engines what so ever. OCTA, Baldwin. Overnite Trans, Wix. Davalos Trucking, a small, 10 truck fleet that had a contract with BNSF or...

    1984 6.2 Oil

Rotella is a good oil. I am not a fan of synthetics, just my preference. From what I have read, the blends give you the best of both worlds. In order to make the oil you are asking about do it's job the best it can, you need to use a quality filter. Not your run of the mill Wix or Baldwin, but a...

    The next Project an ASMH

A bit kinda OT, but here is some of the stuff that needs attn. TTR needs carb stuff, it should be here Monday. The Grand Kids should love it! The RZR needs tires, have had them in the garage for 2 years, just wanted to get the most out of them, re-grooved once but now they feel like riding on...

    1984 6.2 Oil

What is the 6.2 in? I can move this to CUCV or HMMWV when we find out what it is powering so you can get others opinions. And, yes, your choice of oil will be fine. I run 15W40 in just about everything at the Museum.
